Curious question regarding aerosols on QFi

Just looking at a Lnyx body spray which only has 100g on the side, where the can of Lnyx Dry (Antiperspirant) reads 100g/160ml on the side.

IIRC you can go to customs before the check in, so you can put your items into your main luggage.

I noticed that they started writing 100g/155ml on the side rather than just 100g at about the same point in time as they released their "travel sized" cans. There by ensuring that the size which was legal before, was no longer legal and you'd be forced to pay a premium for less deodorant.

Another point to make is, the 100ml/g must be lockable /protected so that the top can press down and discharge
Which makes next to zero sense really (cause lids fall off quite easily, and what's to stop me throwing the lid away once I am past security, or failing to put it back on properly after using it prior to boarding an aircraft). It's stupidity.

The Lynx 'Dry' range has always been 110g, not 110. It's ensured i've had to use roll-on when travelling rather than spray, as I refuse to pay a stupid amount for an aerosol that won't last my trip (and then need to find another whilst away).

Given the short nature of my trips I actually find the small cannisters nice and neat. It is an annoyance though - here's hoping the LAGs rules go away as soon as we hope.

Unlikely, it helps protect duty free stores income far too much. If it really was for safety we'd have LAG rules on domestic flights as well.

The real question is - why r u going to so much effort to save $27?
just enjoy your holiday!

Its something i am bringing overseas anyway, but thought if bringing this on board, and allowed, will land me ~ $28 extra bucks, then why not. If its too hard then i won't.
