Well done Johan, and thanks for posting the link. This Starwood program looks pretty comprehensive in the Asia Pacific region covering Aust, China, Korea, Malaysai, Thailand, Fiji etc...

I believe the Hilton one only covers Oz .

Has anyone gone through the process toi find out how much this program costs. Based on the others I know of (Hilton, ICH group, Hyatt. Accor), I would guess around the $250 mark, but it seems you need to speak to a sales consultant to find out.

Also, anyone know what the premium level after three years membership brings?

Just for your information those that are interested you can use the Priority Privilege membership around Asia, I used it recently and got 10% off the rate at IC Hong Kong, plus used it for dining in Hong Kong. I Also have the Advantage Plus one, though when I can prefer to stay at IC hotels.

Thanks again Lindsay Wilson, I've just noticed that my status match from Hilton Gold to PC Platinum has been awarded (took between 3-5 days). I'll use the 3 night promotion for free Ambassador status on an upcoming stay in BKK at the Intercontinental .

I believe so. The ambassador program isn't relevant outside Intercontinentals.

I have had 3 non IC nights and I didn't become Ambassador. I am awaiting my points for last weekends 3 nights at a Cairo IC to see whether I gain Ambassador status. If I do, then that should provide reasonable evidence

I also just attained Platinum Ambassador status. I don't know whether it was the 3 nights at the IC at the Pyramids in Cairo or 3 stays that I had at HIs/CPs before it since it just changed status v recently and my stay at HI was at begin of May and the IC in mid may

Just booked the Winter Promotion at a CP for tonight and thursday night. Called up and said that as long as you include a thur/fri/sat/sun night, you could book the rate for Mon/tue/wed...

I guess this should also be the case for the HI Winter Promotion.
