Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

I am just a sucker for pulled pork brioche. Gets me every time. Goes well with Taittinger.

(Just checking, again. :o A lowly SG travelling F on Emirates to Singapore (EK405). I can enter F Lounge and also bring a guest travelling on the same flight (and who happens to be love_the_life - aka Dame the Elder next month?)

As long as the guest is travelling on the same flight, access is fine. I don't think status will matter though, any pax flying F will get in.

Just what I needed to hear. :p. Guest is travelling J unless she gets an op up. Status is indeed irrelevant in my case. Just that wonderful seat. Have now brought my domestic leg up to enjoy - around 4 hours (not including immigration etc) in FLounge and EK closer to departure.

Looks good...... but "All Day" does not equal "from Midday". Darn it, we're on QF11 so will only have the morning menu (I remember the pancakes with fruit were absolutely delish last time). But no S/P squid outbound for us.

While I've only taken this flight once, I've been in the F lounge several times around departure and they always make boarding calls plus you access the departure level straight from the lifts next to F lounge - so there's no need to go to the EK lounge. That said, you might like a change as the lounge will be a bit dull as the spa won't be open. New menu looks good though.

Can always ask for squid a bit early - may be lucky. If not, this old favourite always pleases.

And yes, there's actual corn in there.

People have different tastes ... I won't go near Qantas S&P Squid ...

Same here. I made the mistake of having some of the S&P squid a few weeks back in desperation after exhausting the summer menu - remembered there was a reason I'd avoided it for over a year. Just not to my taste.

Traditionally this is a very fatty dish ;)
I'll get to try it out in 4 weeks' time :)

I do remember the deep fried pork belly of a few years ago. It was around for a couple of menu iterations ... that was Yum Yum!
