Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Looks interesting. I'll have an unavoidable 5 hour transit there in a few weeks so will sample a few dishes.

Thanks for that Blackcat20, will be there in a couple of weeks.

Never being to the MEL F lounge before, used SYD F several times, so an interesting comparison to be had.

Found the beef and cabbage very good and also the freekah salad. Both the pav and lemon meringue also get the seal of approval. They had Grosset Gaia in the decanter. And I managed to get a massage for the first time in three years!

Excellent. May I ask what time you were there? I've not seen decanter wine in MEL.

And Happy Birthday too!

Thank you.

We arrived at 7.30 pm along with the QF9 crowd. First time I've seen the decanter there but figured it was related to QF9 passengers...

Thanks. That's usually when I'm there too but not seen the decanter. But arrival around 7pm usually gets a spa in my experience - never failed in 8+ visits this year.

Is F check-in open that early for QF9? Wondering when to book Chauffeur Drive for to maximise FLounge time.

Max chauffeur time is (from memory) 5 hours before flight. That would be more than enough I reckon.

While I'm usually transiting through MEL so don't need to check-in, I've always seen the QF desks manned around 6pm even though there aren't any flights then (as far as I know).

Happy Birthday BC for whenever it was/is/will be. The trip a birthday treat?
Today. Thanks! Yes it's a birthday weekend.

QF9 opened at 7.25, we were first into the F check in and beat the rush.
