Sydney premium security lane yesterday afternoon. Queue actually longer than the standard lanes. The guy in front of me starts drifting right as we get closer to the front. He's gripped by indecision on diving for another lane or staying put. He ends up in no man's land dithering.
Woman in front of him is now in front of me. She is on a call. Puts her 3 bags on the rollers then grabs a tray and moves to the belt and proceeds to have some sort of convulsion while trying to take her coat without removing her phone from her ear.
At this point I grabbed a tray for my notebook and placed it and my bag in the large gap between her encamp. She looked at me. Picked up her tray and was kind enough to let me through.
Sometimes we make simple things so complicated.
