These clear outs happen all of the time. They are very much hit and miss. Mostly misses from my experiences.

I've been quite happy with my recent BWS purchases as part of this promotion. Parker's First Growth, Saltram No 1, Henschke Keyneton Euphonium & Henry's Seven, Stonier, Kooyong, Pipers Brook and Stefano Lubiana Reserve Pinots plus some other gems.

$91 a bottle for the 2013 RWT

Yep that's pretty sharp - but I am still waiting to see if Dan's will offer the 2012 back near that $105 again as they did a couple months back.

Just picked up some bargains from the local BWS who have 30% off all wine at the moment. Barwang 2011 Cab Sav came down to $7 each and 2013 & 14 McLaren Vale Shiraz Cleanskin #71 were $3.50 each. Suspect my local Coffs Harbour Plaza may have been clearing these lines but worth keeping an eye out for.

Crikey, I used to drink barwang a decade ago and I always loved it....seven bucks hey, supurb buying. Sure it's an eleven but good buying regardless. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Here's something to read while you drink your latest purchases....and remember your wine reviews are always appreciated. That way we get comparisons and contrasts and good insights. Probably the other AFF forum Nice Wines I Have Drunk Recently is a more suitable venue for all your rants and raves, your diatribes and insults, your kisses and cudos and other trivia to do with the wine you are or have enjoyed. If you can't have the one you want( RWT) at least write about the one you're with..and after a couple of bottles in you do get some funny stuff turning up.

Lucky I got in the Winemarket deal before stock run out of the RWT. Definitely not disappointed with my purchased as it was the wine of the 2015 Penfolds collection for me just slightly above the St. Henri @DM tasting.

I picked up the 2013 Barwang Shiraz in Cairns for $7.

Lucky I got in the Winemarket deal before stock run out of the RWT. Definitely not disappointed with my purchased as it was the wine of the 2015 Penfolds collection for me just slightly above the St. Henri @DM tasting.

I kept going between the Magill (at $115 a bottle) and the RWTs (at $89 a bottle), and ended up saving the pennies and going for the RWT. I think it's a great price, and somebody else said the same thing as you - so that tipped the scales (I couldn't afford both, unfortunately). It was my best WineMarket deal of the year so far.

Now I am going to have to pay a little premium hunting out a cellared one so I know roughly what I can look forward to. Where to go? Langton's? Other suggestions?

2012 did have some great scores from a range of critics. I'm surprised it's still available even at around the $120 mark.

Euphonium came down to $21 a bottle and the Henry's Seven down to $11ish

Was able to double up discounts (50% off each bottle, then 30% off six wines) on BWS clearance stock over the weekend. Picked up

2x Tyrrells Rufus Stone 2012&2013
Stefano Lubiana Estate Pinot Noir 2012
Paringa Estate Pinot Noir 2013
Barwang Hilltops Shiraz 2013
Descendant of Squid Ink Shiraz 2013

for $84 in total. Do wish I could've picked up the Euphonium as well though!

Unsure the value of those wines but I recently bought 6 of the Rufus Stone from Dans for $78/6. Cheap quaffing.

I got the rufus Stone for $9.80 each.

Just checking value on DM's now - descendent of Squid Ink is about $36, Lubiana is $51. The Paringa PE Pinot is $27. So two of those better ones gave me 4 decent quaffers for zilch
