Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Did he devoured the cork THAT quickly that you could not steal a quick glance?

The cork wasn't on my mind - I had a runner at Flemington yesterday who was in the mix but was a bit disappointing. So the mind was elsewhere.

The wine is very well made though. Between the 2 of us, the bottle did not last long.

You either buy it on the premise that it's The Signature or if you if you dont think it is you dont buy.

IMO all roads point to it that it is;
Wine family est 1849 = Yalumba
Icon Wine rated up to JH 96
Old vine Barossa sourced fruit
Over 50% off RRP

Happy days.

Unless there is another method - you need search store by store - it is the most pathetic website in the history of the internet
I reckon Dan’s is worse. You need to go all the way to placing an order before you find out if it’s available....

That’s true. You get your hopes up for nothing.

I'll go even one better. MyBottleShop(dot)com, you see in stock, get right too checkout, place the order, and then get no delivery or contact for months, promises of delivery, more weeks, until you lodge a Visa changeback...then refund

Not yet. Chucked them all in the cellar but I did kept one of each in the wine fridge to open sooner than later. Let us know how they drink now.
Tried Molldooker Blue Eyed Boy tonight at a BYO in Sydney Paddo - Chubby Cheeks - an excellent Asian fusion restaurant.

As you can see from the photo (frothy layer in the bottle), I did perform a very rigorous Mollydooker shake as prescribed (see the posts before). My wife thought that I finally went completely bonkers and I think staff and some patrons took photos as I shook it and let it rip for all its worth. Poured it into two different glasses to compare (sceptical at first) and yeah - you can do a blind taste but this shaking business did unlock the wine and there is a difference - from slightly rough around the edges to a super smooth polished monster wine.

And as to the taste - I absolutely loved it and so did all who had a taste - it was like WTF .. I think it is definitely not to everyone's taste - a huge fruit bomb that exploded in the mouth, all sorts of layered dark fruit laced with dark chocolate and when you smell it - you can do just that and get the idea as to what awaits. !6% alcohol is very well managed and you don't really feel it - but that finish - it is still lingering as I am writing this. There is whole lot of stuff going on there.

Hard to describe it- but to me it is a feeling a similar to what I got the very first time I jumped on a 1000cc motorbike .. yeah .. it is a bit silly and yeah .. a bit exaugurated and maybe unnecessary and suddenly you have a stupid grin on your face as you hit 100 km/h in less that 3 sec ..

Can't recommend it enough for anyone to try and if you are not happy - I will happily buy it of you!

I got locked out of finewineco last week after a recent purchase! I emailed them and they said they were tidying up their database for current employees and friends/family. Would be happy for anyone to sponsor me for a re entry if you work there or know anyone.
Mine had been working but now locked out too....I guess I'll be directing more to BWS

Shopback banner is showing 30% ($30 cap) at First Choice, although the actual store page is still showing 3%.
At Cashrewards, it lists 10% sitewide code FRENZY.
Hopefully the FRENZY code is added to Shopback soon so the wine frenzy can continue.
Assuming FRENZY gets added to the SB website these are my picks

Everything worth buying is gone!
Precisely - I think those 15% off codes were just as good as this cashback and you get the discount off the bat.

Makes no sense waiting to squeeze the very last extra $1-2 per bottle out of BWS if the wines that you really wanted were right there and then to purchase.

They also jacked up some prices - for instance Taylors St Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon is back to $65 - as a trap for young players.

I don't think so?
I went through every store in my state yesterday at work 🤣🤣🤣

I managed to score a free 2000 bonus pts, I never realised pts were awarded on pick up and customer service credited me. The thing is, I had already used the promo 🤣

I agree, I made some mistakes and should of ordered earlier. I still scored some good deals, but I should manage to score some more hopefully.

Wines Direct refunded me the shipping, I just complained via email in-regard to the Yulumba deal.

FWIW I managed to nab 2 x Clonakilla SV at $62.20 each after cashback and discounts so I'm pretty happy. This is cheaper than I have seen before with the prev promo codes and lower cashback.

In Sydney too.

Was the base price $120?

Visited the winery again earlier this year in January when I was in Canberra and did the tasting.
I think my senses are "ruined" by SA fruit full bodied bombs as I could not understand what the fuss was all about this wine - I guess it is for the lovers of cooler climate medium bodied elegant shiraz. Enjoyed their white wines though and bought some.
