Plenty of those Clarendons are past their due date, half of what I saw is their entry range and years past prime drinking.

Langton's had their upper range and they cellar better.

There was some good buys, but I spent 2 hours digging individual reviews and just went with the latest years available bar 1 wine which didn't have appealing reviews.

I get what you're saying tho 😁
I expect that's right for the Clarendon Baker's Gully that GWD was selling (2008 and 2010). The 2010 and Mourvedre still has plenty in it imho, and is great at $25. But yes, the 2013 Grenache that Langton's has been selling (also for $25) is really excellent. Had some again yesterday with my carbonara and it was fab.

I picked up 11 x 2010 Brookman Shiraz last year for $50 a bottle in a deal with a bottle of Astralis, and I must say I was underwhelmed with that one, despite supposedly being better than their Liandra range.

Oh well.

Now... where are these last minute EoFY bargains!?

I wonder how these compare to previous ones. I thought in the past there were 3 packs etc, so I guess at 6 for $175 with a max rrp of $410 the Penfolds 389 and 407's are not likely to feature.

Last time they had the 240 packs. I was extremely lucky with a 6 pack full of RWT, 407, 389... Doesnt look this time. And all available in large quantities for those having the "pick the ones with low availability" strategy. But who knows. Penfolds and Wynns are launching their new vintage soon and it is end of the financial year...

Yes very tempted by the mystery packs as have been pretty lucky in the past, but the lower max RRP and the buckets being all in high availability have me hesitant to commit.

When I plugged in some attempts, the second $175 bucket seemed to have fewer? So, it cld either be the really good $410 one or maybe the really bad one... roulette!

(I must say I was super-jealous at previous ones, but yes, this one is not likely to reach those 389/407 heights at all).

Someone is getting shafted either way 😬

I couldn't resist, went for the second $175 option ... will update here as to whether I won or lost...
I also rolled the dice on the $175 option, with $20 off for the first order and free deliver works out to just under $26 a bottle so worth a go. I will also post when it arrives so we can compare notes.

Also tempted to take a punt

Do you need a code to access the $20 off? I haven't ordered from them before but am not getting any discounts in my cart

It may have expired
Shame, thanks for that. Any other discounts/codes going for first timers?

Basically you got 3 $175 options and you randomly get 1 of the packages?

I would absolutely be annoyed if I got all whites, as I barely drink them. I cant find many bottles around $68 on the website, would be around $410 rrp
It reads like it could be a selection of different bottles, with presumably different prices for each. So the $410 pack might have a $200 bottle and 5 $40 bottles for example

Yeah, I mean it still seems like good value in a sense.

That would be horrible
The $200 bottle is probably $120 fair value (thinking RWT) and the other $40 bottles probably a write-off.
