Has anyone bought and tried any of the recent Get Wines Direct 2012 Clarendon Hills Bakers Gully Syrah?

Interested in your view on it.

Im trying to get a feel for this wine knowing that there's been plenty of average Clarendon Hills back vinatges floating around at the moment some of which have been retruned.

JH92 fills me with a feeling of ennui especially for a thirty bucker. Just had the st johns brook 2018 cab from the fo six pack cabernet $129. Lovely wine, still young but good. It's in that pack that the orange cab came from which was stunning. Had a third one from that pack, the geoff Merrill. Whilst not as good as the other 2, I gave it a 7.3. Variety is a good thing with this 6er.

Langtons offer via broker.

It's Back! - The Henschke 6pk has made its long awaited return and just in time to warm you up over winter.

These two wines from Henschke are great value at $60 and $72 a bottle, however pick them up in this 6pk and it's only $50 a bottle!
- a saving of 25%

Just for a little fun throw in a Apple Tree Magnum for $150.
(comes in wooden presentation box)
In this pack you will receive 3 bottles of:

2016 Keyneton Euphonium
Eden Valley | Barossa Valley
66% Shiraz 19% Cabernet Sauvignon
10% Merlot 5% Cabernet Franc

‘ "Matured in French and American hogsheads (18% new) for 18 months. The bouquet does indeed bellow from the glass like that a euphonium. It has a swag of red, black and purple fruits all in tune, something very different for drinking now."

Langton’s Classified ‘Outstanding'

2017 Apple Tree Bench

Eden Valley | Barossa Valley

52% Shiraz
48% Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep crimson with violet hues. Lifted and fragrant aromas of briary blackberry, red currant, Satsuma plum, with floral notes of violets, cassis, lavender, supported by crushed thyme and black pepper. The palate is textural and layered with red currant, mulberry and blackberry revealing hints of bay leaf and anise, balanced by focussed acidity, depth and structure from cedary oak and elegant, fine-grained tannins.

Yes, don't know if it's because of the Cellarmasters demise but I've noticed Dans are starting to offload things that they don't otherwise stock.
hope you didn't notice that last Wednesday
Dan’s in Brighton doesn’t even have a clearance section.

Luckily I don’t go to the local store any more, no clearance section and they rarely price match.
kk I have had Brighton price match a couple times - most recent was 25 x 200ml botts Lanson Champs $25 down to $10 - they seriously could have told me take a walk - but I have noticed Dans Cheltenham and Parkdale will avoid price match wherever they possibly can - not worth arguing with them but I think in general Dans are now much more reluctant to price match than they used to be - clearly OMMV

I also got them to price match the Lanson (for 6 bottles, thanks for that one, wish I had got more!) but that was the last one they did. They now go through the “not the same vintage” routine even though they don’t guarantee vintages on their own website, then fall back to the 5km distance. Staff there quote the story about the guy that bought out stock of a price error in all their stores so I’ve just given up now.

Thanks for that

Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon $110 x 3 = $330 - $40 - $30 = $86.67 per bottle. Not sure if that's an outstanding price but it's a wine I haven't seen discounted often. To do better than that you have to find it at 50% clearance at BWS ($75) and hope it doesn't get snapped up before a cashback offer
