Grabbed a case of Xanadu from my local Dan’s.

Seems like I was to the party with MW as all stock in BNE is gone but fortunately managed to grab 8 bottles in MEL. Now just need the lockdown to end so I can get there and collect them.

Are you from BNE OR MEL? You're going to fly down to collect?

Hi Boomy, do you know how long the click and collect order can be hold at DM? I found MW somewhere in Sydney but I am not able to collect them due to lockdown.

Dan’s are usually very generous with holding stock.
If you don’t show up after some time they’ll normally call you for reminder but you can also be proactive (for your own peace of mind) and call Dan’s after ordering to let them know you will collect at a later date.

Unlike the jerks at FC where strict 5 day window applies - further to boomy’s response a call to the store where you purchased from will secure your stock until you can collect - you have paid for it remember

FC are really bad not only for limiting C&C to 5 days but also not always sending reminders, then canceling orders yet don’t bother to process the refund.

On the other hand BWS service is fantastic, last year they held a C&C order for me in a SYD store for 4 months!

Did you get lucky with your store choices or is there a way to check stock statewide? I can only get three stores at a time and need to name the suburb...it takes a while to get through them

I start with stores that are closer to my residence and spreading the search accordingly if can’t find stock there.

I get the chemistry aspect behind the trick but seemingly it only removes the mould smell. The wine remains lifeless.. it’s like the dead parrot sketch..

Liquorland are the same. I called the store and the girl marked it as collected so that It wouldn’t be auto cancelled, and held it till I could get to the store.
