Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I think this is 2016 Eileen Hardy Shiraz @ $60/b

Less 10% for purchases over $200 and showing 8.5% CB today.
would work out about $50/bottle for 4 or more
Yes, this one is Hardy Eileen Shiraz 2016. I just received a bottle today (just want to redeem all the points). Good thing is that I don't need to order 6 bottles like DM.

The mourvedre is an interesting drop and much discounted at $16/btl. It opens up very strongly but loses it after about an hour. Really quite good if you don't let it sit about. I don't rate the bakers gully.

I just finished the last bottle of a 6 pack of 2006 Bakers Gully from a previous/recent offering. I thought it had a lot of bottle variation - it's good was good and it's bad went down the sink.

I gave this current offer the miss.

There’s been some fantastic back vintages of Clarendon hills available in the last few years, Dans had some great value 2012 and 2013 Brookman Cabernet that was in very good condition. It feels like we’re really into the dregs now that Get Wines Direct are in on it. I suspect Dans, Langton’s were unwilling to accept this stock so it ended up with GWD. Too much risk that these wines will be damaged for me to even risk spending $108 on a 6 pack which is a real shame. I hope those that do take a punt get some decent bottles though. Id be jumping on the 2013 Liandra Mourvèdre if I was a gambling man.

Yep agree with this. Had two out of six bottles bad, but clearly evident from leakage past cork. GWD credited the two bottles. $25 a bottle is still pretty good value for me (99/4) if the credit is of limited value.

However currently have massive issues with lack of transparency with GWD and waiting how they respond to my current complaint.

I left a case in my cart overnight. Had a call this morning from Getwinesdirect asking me if I was having trouble checking out.

I took the opportunity to ask about the provenance of the wine. I was far from satisfied by the answers I received.

I'll pass on these this time, but have enjoyed other discounted Clarendon wines in the past.

You really don't want to know, especially if you've purchased already. But PM me if you want the info.
No I didn’t, the “Get Wines Indirect” factor was too off putting.

As a well respected doctor of big SA reds I’ll also take your word for it.

I would imagine that these Clarendon Hills wines are as well travelled as Michael Palin.

I had a missed call, and a voice message left.

The bloke actually said due to me having bought this one already in the past, he would clear my cart.

Funny!
