I would grab their shiraz. That is what they are renowned for. Interestingly they didn't release their flagship Duck Muck this year. Thanks for reminder @olympicwiz . I never tried their wines before. Do you have anything recommend to me?
Thanks!I would grab their shiraz. That is what they are renowned for. Interestingly they didn't release their flagship Duck Muck this year.
I am going for Springflat Shiraz (their staple workhorse) and Farmers Picnic Vineyard Shiraz

2017 Original Vineyard Shiraz - $760 per 750mL bottle on allocation. “The rarest of the rare Duck releases… Only ever seen a few times before back in 01, 14, 16 and now the 2017 release. Liam delights in the 2017 vintage: “As one of the best Vintages ever at Wild Duck Creek Estate, it was the complete package”! This release is powerful…so perfumed. An evocative mix of berry fruits, cinnamon, five spice, nutmeg. The palate is laden with different flavours. Striking natural acids define the mouthfeel. It so rich and bold with pronounced flavours of crushed strawberries and cranberries, plum notes alongside attractive hints of cassia bark, anise, and infinite complexities. The length of this wine is unbelievable. An outstanding, power-driven Shiraz of tremendous length and complexity. Matured for 36 months in a single French oak barrique. 16.2% alc. 100% Shiraz. 293 bottles filled only.

$20 or under for the grey label is about the norm(has been a lot cheaper though). So $60 for the black label is OK value. For me this is probably just an OK value pack. I know that each of these wines has been cheaper. But overall these will be nice wines to drink. What’s the thoughts on CellarDoor wolf blass bundle? $180 for 6 grey label Shiraz or cab Shiraz plus a black label cab Shiraz, extra $20 for plat label instead.
I don’t mind the grey label at $20, is $60 for a black label a good price?
The cheapest I've seen Black Label is $65 at BWS excluding discounts, if available. What’s the thoughts on CellarDoor wolf blass bundle? $180 for 6 grey label Shiraz or cab Shiraz plus a black label cab Shiraz, extra $20 for plat label instead.

Personally I would stay away. Had numerous Grey labels both McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek (Cab Shiraz I think) and was underwhelmed both in terms of the body (too lean) and the length. I suppose each to his own and this is just my 2 pesos worthWhat’s the thoughts on CellarDoor wolf blass bundle? $180 for 6 grey label Shiraz or cab Shiraz plus a black label cab Shiraz, extra $20 for plat label instead.

I think if you're looking for Mclaren Shiraz there are better options eg. Pirramimma via VMWhat’s the thoughts on CellarDoor wolf blass bundle? $180 for 6 grey label Shiraz or cab Shiraz plus a black label cab Shiraz, extra $20 for plat label instead.

I got a few of the Shiraz the time they were $14 or so and I quite liked what I had, think it may have been 2016. Definitely would be happy with more at $20 - but if the black/plat isn’t worth much it means this isn’t that great a deal perhaps.Personally I would stay away.
