Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Also a 20% cashback at Vintage Cellars through Cashrewards. They currently have Best's Great Western riesling and cabernet at 2 for $40 ($16.37 per bottle after cashback). Never tried the cabernet, but the riesling is great value at that price.

Staying with riesling, VC also has Gundog Estate riesling for $22 a bottle ($18 after cashback).

I haven't had the Behr Creek but have bought a case of an earlier Shiraz from them (under cork and from VM from memory) large-boned and nicely formed. Not sure I understand the pricing on the Mystery Deal No. 6 for this wine when the page reads "$50.00 (for 6 or more) $51.00 per bottle" and under the description "A 94 point Barossa Shiraz for $25. Jeez, these Mystery deals just keep getting better and better."
Just a quick shoutout that the folks at Noon loved your review WandD !

So much detail deserved congratulations from the horses mouth. I loved it immensely too.

Any guesses on JD #478 2014 Coonawarra Cab Sav 96 points?
CW Wines Schoolhouse
Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Rating: 96
This is bold and opulent, showing blackcurrant, dark plum, spicy oak and tapenade characters with a subtle infusion of dried herbs. The palate displays outstanding concentration and depth, well complemented by refined texture and grainy tannins, making it firm and sturdy. At its best: now to 2030. $130.00. www.cwwines.com. May 2022.

Any thoughts what this one could be?
https://langtons.com.au/product/96673/305/2007/langton's/confidential-mxli-shiraz-6-pack,-mclaren-vale?basket=113363

I've tracked on the following I think:
https://langtons.com.au/product/95974/305/2018/langton's/confidential-mxx_vi-shiraz-6-pack,-mclaren-vale
=> Zonte Footstep Z-Force

https://langtons.com.au/product/95586/305/2016/langton's/confidential-mxx_ii,-shiraz,-nagambie?basket=108610
=> Tahblik 2016 Eric Stevens Purbrick

Any thoughts on Z-Force and ESP would also be welcome.

I havent confirmed but sounds like it's the Clarendon Hills Liandra Syrah.

Quick calc (assuming 2x St P, 2 Ida and 2 Chalambar) = $30 St Peter's, $20 Ida, $10 Chalambar. Risk is if they pad with Chalambar and keep only one of St P and Ida each given only a 3 pack on CD and not listed as a 3 pack on mystery case
This arrived as 3 x Chalambar, 2 x St Peters 2020 and 1 x Arrawatta Hill Shiraz 2019.
So not quite what was expected but pretty decent value.

Broker deal I received today.

2019 PENLEY ESTATE Eos Shiraz
Cabernet Coonawarra
$40/btl $240/6pk
RRP $100/btl $600/6pk

95 pts Erin Larkin, Wine Companion "Matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). Like all the Penley reds submitted this year, this is vibrant and bright on the nose. Brambly blackberries, mulberries and fresh garden mint adorn the aromas, while in the mouth, the acidity swooshes in and out of each of the flavours, enlivening them and making way for the fine tannins: the carriage upon which the experience rides across the mouth. A modern, concentrated take on the classical Australian blend".
