Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thanks but I meant their promotion was misleading and I am unhappy with their decision.

I actually understood is this way, min spend $100.

I had no idea you had to spend $150, I find this misleading too.

With all the information I gathered from their reply, I believed their min spend calculation excluded the GST and the delivery charge. So to be eligible my referee must place an order of $161.12 excluding the delivery charge. Nothing was stated in the terms of condition.

They are trying to boost the sale of their membership with a misleading promotion.

Glad I got my order through on the first round (mind you I'm definitely not top tier, more like bottom rung ;))...

Nicely done. Same here - a bottom feeder on the cellardoor website. However after buying one pack - I noticed that I am $80 away from a bud level so grabbed another pack for a work colleague after some sweet talking about this wine.

When I visited Penfolds cellar door at Barossa long time ago - that and Cellar Reserve Durif were the only wines I could justify buying. They had different more traditional labels then.

It is definitely drink now/short time cellaring wine.

Cellar One has Blackwell Shiraz 2019 for just under $30 per bottle. St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2019

I thought that 2017 vintage was exceptional, 2018 wasn't to my liking and 2019 received 96 points from James Halliday.

Whilst I never pay much attention to Halliday's review when it comes to full bodied Barossa shiraz, the review sounded like it is at least as good as 2017 if not better "”If it follows in the footsteps of the '16, it was crushed and destemmed, 10 days on skins, and 14 months in oak (30% new). It brings the energy, focus and finesse of '17 into high relief, making this a joy to taste.” James Halliday - 96.

Could not resist grabbing a sixer at that price.
