They are bad examples, fellow Wine Lovers. But glad Dan's processed the refunds. The sad reality is the majority of consumers probably will not notice the vintage difference or will feel compelled enough to seek a return and refund.
It all adds up to what Redbigot concluded above - you need to be smart with your buys and your returns (or to use his words : you just need to work out how to play them rather than let them play you).
