CashRewards appear to have rejected a cashback for First Choice on the basis that I used a code for a sitewide offer ($10 off $100 spend, around 10 Nov). Is that normal? I'm certain similar codes (eg free delivery, $20 off $200 spend etc) have not voided cashback claims previously.

I didn't screen shot it so I can't prove that the code was or wasn't on the CR website but IIRC those generic, available to all offers, tend to be (don't they?).

My experience is that if the sitewide offer is not explicitly listed by CR in the offer section that accompanies the CB then they are likely to deny the claim.

Often these types of offers are listed but I cannot confirm this was the case this time.
Others may be more of a help on this matter

Trouble is, I cant recall if the offer was on the CR site or not. This is the first time I've had a booze cashback declined, across any of the cashback sites I'm in. Infact I only buy when there's another offer of some sort to stack with the cashback, and 9 times out of 10 I wouldn't buy otherwise, so it's come as a bit of surprise. I went back through my orders and found a few examples of $ or % off offers that apply sitewide - usually it says "no code needed" on the CR site, so they've been paid in the past. But as i say, I don't know if it was on the CR site or not.

I think I'll keep them for a bit longer, surely 11-12 years is not enough to get the most out of a 389.
I wonder how they actually predict the optimum drinking window, besides "intuition"?!

It's based on experience with the same wine from previous vintages. However there are man variables. Each vintage has different growing conditions and also wine making does change. People with experience should be able to try a wine young and judge its agability. Ie, is it balanced and does it have the stuffing to go the journey. Again though, this is a guesstimate.

Also, optimal drinking is subjective. Different people like wines at different stages of the aging journey and for different types of wine.

I would start a dialogue with CR.
I find short emails to gather the information you are after by asking questions is helpful whilst expressing disappointment in the denied CB.
Another important factor is to express that you only made the purchase because of the CB and that if this is denied it would cause you to loose confidence in the CR platform.

I’m sure there’s probably a rep planted within the forum and so they will be ready for your email 😂

Good luck.

I bought some Penfolds RWT and had it delivered with instructions to leave at back door where it is secure and shaded. They left it at the front door where it sat in the sun (Day temp of 25 degrees today) for about 45 mins...see photo below. Should I be worried? Do I need to open one to try...prefer not too as I was planning to keep them a while. Should I complain to Dan Murphy? Advise please....
Complain as your delivery instructions were not followed.
