Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

C1 Points (i have 62, 000) when you use at checkout now it turns it into a promo code.. I'm just getting back into the swing of things
Yes it will. Its only the $20 anniversary/birthday codes that don't stack with storewide offers.

Be careful when redeeming points. Once you redeem at checkout, the points are deducted irrespective of whether you complete the transaction. I have been stung before

I have opened one - ullage was very low, the cork crumbled and it smells and tastes like it is on its way to vinegar. I’ll give it an hour and report back if it improves, but I think I’ll be testing their refund policy
I opened one two days ago and consumed over 2 days. I actually used the Ah-So opener to extract the cork in one piece. I decanted it for over an hour and I must admit it was a better experience than my first 2008 bottle I had a few months ago. Overall, it was a quality Coonawarra CS, it lacked that minty eucalyptus/menthol notes that I would have liked and was a bit more acidic to my taste, but can't really complain having paid $20 for it.

I went through this experience. It actually generates and applies the code, but unless you save it somewhere to be applied later AND do not proceed with the current purchase, it is not retrievable.

I caved in with the recent offers and bought the Bay of Fires Pinot for $35 at CellarOne and decided to go back to the Rising Bad Earth LDR for $15 at finewineco. Posting on share a case thread if anyone wants three of each in Melbs.

In case anyone is a fan of trendy minimal intervention wines that pop up on modern wine bar menus - konpira maru are offering a mixed 6 on their website at $90 due to a labelling stuff up. Their wines normally are in the $20-30 range and are very much summer park wines. Good fun stuff for dinner parties or casual sharing with mates.

I would’ve been tempted with the pinot had you been in Sydney !

Just trying my first First Eleven. Cork come out well without crumbling, wine is decent, and still showing signs of life. If the others are like this I'll be happy.
I'm having a glass of the one I opened thursday (and have kept pumped under vacuvin). Still very nice too. Wondering if this is just luck and the next bottle will be the vingeary crumblecork type!

Hi all,
Went to 1st Choice on the Gold Coast yesterday and picked up The Fever Mclaren Vale Blend for $5 per bottle. Normal price $30 but specials at $20, so realistically a $20 wine
Excellent full bodied blend for $5. Will not show as $5 online.
Blend is Merlot, Cabernet, Mataro.

Also had Peoples tempranillo at $5 but didn't purchase.

Didn't spot any other $5 deals.

Hi there people,
this may be a local offer, but at my local Cellarbrations outlet, they have IMHO a great deal. 2 for $30 on the Reschke Bull Trader 2020 shiraz, a Halliday 94 point tipple. And other Reschke offerrings. Plus, when you buy six, you get a Reschke Vitulus Cab Sav 1.5 litre magnum thrown in.
Maybe this works for you, apologies if this deal is not available at your local.

FWIW - More aged 2013 Reschke Bull Trader 2013 Shiraz is available from Vinomofo here for $12.50 in a doz or $10 per bottle using $30 coupon.

Prices aside, 2013 vintage would still be produced under the stewardship of big Peter Douglas (ex Wynns) at the helm of Reschke at the time. Not sure who makes 2020 vintage as the Reschke brand is now under the CW wines umbrella and the finer details are somewhat sketchy.
