Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Kept in warm place, some stores don’t use aircon in storage.
And under bright lights all day. On my trip to NZ last week I grabbed a bottle of 2020 Pinot at the airport duty free on landing, opened it that night and it was cooked. On the way out I asked about it and they said stock turnover inbound (for NZ wine) was very low.

Having been burned three times recently by oxidised wine from a BWS store, I’m wondering if even 80% off would be worth it…
hope you returned it?
how are bws managing to oxidise them?
exactly...really only way to do this is if the cap is 'coughed' in the bottling or transportation/manual handling process which will then allow oxygen transfer...which otherwise doesn't happen. maybe got a bad batch?

Well, I ducked down and grabbed a case of pinot noir from my local Cellarbrations (for $138, so a little over the Bottle-O price, but not requiring nearly as much stuffing around), and have lodged a claim. The email confirming my claim stated '*Open to AU res 18+. Ends: 11:59pm AEST 16/4/23. Limit 1 claim per person. Retain receipt.'

FWIW, the guy behind the counter said to make sure I put the claim in today.
And the gift card came through today... :)

#2 and #6 are both described as "DTC Mixed Packs" which if you google you'll find listed on the various TWE brand websites. For 2 the brand is Cellar Door and 6 it's Multi Brand. Not much to go on

I just spoke with a Treasury rep. Looks like their reps don't even know what is in each pack. Rep said it is a mix of what is left in the warehouse.
