Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I have, and requested all reds (which they accommodated).

this was my box last time, the 2016 Touriga is top notch (I still have the 2x 2018), Shiraz was good, and Pinot I can't remember though it's placed on my shelf in the "nothing great" section.

2018 Shiraz x2
2018 Touriga x2
2016 Touriga x4
2019 Velvet Fog Pinot Noir x4
I ordered one case to see. I didn't think about making a request. I love Chardonnay but won't like to see any Sauv Blanc or Pinot Grigio. I will see if I can send a request now...

Did you buy the Clonakilla with credit card, would there be insurance through your cc company?
Interesting question... I did pay for the auction lot on a card, but I figure they wouldn't cover a somewhat later private freight transaction where my mate in Adelaide shipped them via Aramex...

Not to rain on your parade but it’s been down to $20 (bws half price) in some stores.

Hi all,
Any idea of what would this be?
Dear Friends,

I'm pulling out the big guns for the end of financial year...so strap yourself in.

A 96 Point McLaren Vale Grenache (RRP$100) from 100 Year Old vines that the vineyard needs off their books, pronto...they're practically giving it away at under a QUARTER OF THE PRICE!

Check out the competition...

CELLAR DOOR $100
ONLINE COMPETITOR $100
AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST 'DISCOUNT BARN' $100
QANTAS $90

This Premium Aussie Grenache is yours for the taking at
UNDER $25! ...Secret Wine # 583

"Made from the fruit produced by 100-year-old vines in McLaren Vale. Serious Grenache with a core of dense, dark fruit supported by classy French oak and firm tannins on the finish. This depth of flavour is beyond Grenache as a rule, and I reckon this wine could improve for up to 10 years".
96 Points Anon

"It's wonderfully ripe and seductively complex, showing dark berry, cedar, anise, thyme and subtle cocoa notes on the nose. The impressively concentrated palate offers expansive mouthfeel and silky flow, backed by loads of fine-grained tannins. Multi-layered and gratifying. At its best: now to 2035."
96 Points Anon

As with all my Secret Wine Series, the wine's identity won't be revealed until it arrives safely on your doorstep, fully labeled and ready to impress. I have provided a list of clues below to whet your appetite, however to protect the vineyard and the good name
they've built, we have an agreement not to reveal their identity.
It's a game of trust my friends, not only between the winemaker and myself, but myself and you, to deliver the best VALUE - and in today's case - at a QUARTER OF THE PRICE!

Enough said...Here we go!

* 100% McLaren Vale Grenache
* 96 Points
* 2020 Vintage
* 100 Year Old Bush Vines
* Hand Picked
* Extremely low yield
* French and American Oak
* 14% alcohol
* Fully labeled/screw cap

Cheers

Unsurprisingly some wineries are offering some very sharp EOFY offers!

If you're into wine from the Pyrenees, Mount Avoca is offering some great discounts on mixed packs and some unlabelled wines.

Vintage Cellars has By Farr Tout Pres Pinot Noir for $50, down from $125. Stack with 20% from Cashrewards today.

There might be some stock floating around in store although I couldn't find any near me. I was able to order one for delivery but I have my doubts that it will arrive.
