Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

If we are going to compare leaking and using COLES staff discount by those who are not entitled to theft, then by the same logic, leaking and using LANGTONS staff sale should be considered theft as it is a benefit exclusive to Endeavour employees.

.
Firstly I didn't COMPARE.

and second I am allowed to share the carpe diem deals with my friends. If you think that is pushing it, let me know and I'll stop 👍

You consider posting the details of the Langtons staff sale into a public domain available for the whole wide world to see as sharing with friends? Would the Endeavour group see it this way?
Asking for a friend.

No, PM's only and only if you ask nicely and have been nice to me over the previous month.

Well, that's what I would say if I was on the notification list.

Fair enough. You made your choice.

Probably not much for you to share now that the link is leaked. Maybe the pdf 2 days in advance?
Well, no.

Got an email from my Langtons broker offering Standish back vintages. Not a bargain by any stretch but some might find them appealing

THE STANDISH WINE COMPANY The Standish Single Vineyard Shiraz 2019, Barossa Valley
$140 bottle

"Such concentrated blueberry and cherry aromas, as well as violets and fresh-earth aromas. This delivers an immediate sense of richness with chocolate in the mix, too. Very pure. The palate has a very resolved feel with deep, essence-like fruit flavors that hold a rich, plum and blackberry line that drives long and very even. This is really something. Drink over the next decade".

THE STANDISH WINE COMPANY Andelmonde Single Vineyard Shiraz 2018, Barossa Valle
y
$140 Bottle
So pretty. Raspberry, mint, violet, roses, milk chocolate. It’s medium to full-bodied, bright and buoyant, juicy and deft, and while it doesn’t have the heft and length of the other wines in this release, does lay on the charm to wonderful effect. It has a limpid quality that lifts it well above the ruck of so many Barossa wines. The more time I spend with it, the more I appreciate its quality. A quiet achiever, if you like. Beautiful svelte wine. More to come"

THE STANDISH WINE COMPANY The Relic Single Vineyard Shiraz Viognier 2019, Barossa Valley
$140 Bottle

"Big perfume, ripe berries, floral whiffs, sweet, turned earth character, jellied plum, blackcurrant pastilles. So much to sniff on. Supple, soft and juicy in the palate, though there’s some tension in the texture and it finishes long, fanning out magnificently. A sense of poise and lift too. Wonderful, elegant, big-lush expression"

THE STANDISH WINE COMPANY The Relic Single Vineyard Shiraz Viognier 2017, Barossa Valley
$140 bottle

"Standish's 2017 The Relic Shiraz-Viognier includes 2% Viognier, just enough to soften the wine's considerable tannins and add a floral element on the nose. Gorgeous scents of brambly blackberries and anise lead into a wine that's full-bodied and plush, long and silky, adding hints of cocoa and espresso on the finish".

All his 2018 wines were great, including Andelmode which he didn’t make since. CD price was $105 IIRC so $140 isn’t too bad for back vintage.

Hi all, just a quick PSA that Langtons may have discontinued their awesome, big, sturdy 12 bottle boxes. I got one of the original branded horizontal 6 bottle boxes but the 12 bottle boxes delivered were brown boxes & not as large/thick. This was from auction, not carpe diem & included the box acting as an outer for original 6/12 packs and loose bottles too.

Just making mention in case any of you were going to recycle a bunch of the old ones (like me…) expecting new ones to come in the next delivery.

All their boxes are now plain. The 12 bottle carton still has a divider inside. Its just about saving money by having no printing. I agree the boxes are not as tough as the original Langtons boxes but it is once again about cost.
