Why not do both ?Should we buy this one or wait for the 2021 wildcard?
The 2021 was rated 99 pts by Huon Hooke but the 2019 is no slouch either at 97 pts from Huon Hooke if your a points follower.Should we buy this one or wait for the 2021 wildcard?
A poor review by Mike Beanie is a buy signal for meThe 2021 was rated 99 pts by Huon Hooke but the 2019 is no slouch either at 97 pts from Huon Hooke if your a points follower.
The 93 points from Mike Bennie on the 2019 may be a concern for some making quite a spread

This is the 375ml Blackwell 2021. Opened one...hmmmm....tastes like Faith to me? Generally inoffensive, fruity, not much complexityless 20% makes them $13.60 ea, or $27.20 for 750ml equivalent
Devil's Lair Chardonnay 2022 is 50% off ($150/6) at Cellardoor.co
Devil's Lair Margaret River Chardonnay 2022 | Cellardoor.co
I got the Pinot mix and the Chardonnay mix. Bought the Devil's lair twice in the past at $25 so it seem to come back at that price regularly. It is a great wine!Stop tempting me- I only ordered $252 worth of wines from cellar door yesterday to get the Wynns black label and then got the 6 pack of Wynns Chard as filler.
Cellardoor.co have Wynns Black Label cab sauv 2021 at $174/6 ($29 each) less $20 for purchases over $250 with the code OCTOBER20 - brings it down to $27.33 per bottle in a dozen. I have to accept that we might have seen the last of getting this for $25 - I didn't find the 2019 version lower than $30 and didn't get around to buying any of the 2020 vintage.
Monchiero still availableI was too 2 late for the Barolo
Interested to know what’s in the pack.Oh the joy, I had a $90 TWC credit so I figured why not get a premium mixed red case from them for $60 delivered once the credit was applied. The blurb claimed it contained a bottle worth close to $500, total value over $900. How could I be unhappy at $10/btl? Then it arrived.

Twisted Trunk ShirazYou’ve got me intrigued!
Block C1?Schoolhouse Block 61 Cabernet
Oh yes, C1 it is. I assume that's code for 'amazingly rare premium'... the scarcity of schoolhouse wines in mystery deals and packs across multiple platforms is a dead give-away that this is what it must be!Block C1?
I had the 'normal' Schoolhouse Cab (RRP$80) last month and was quite impressed. Wouldn't be 'quite impressed' if paid the RRP tbh.

... and the biggie: Yaldara 1847 First Pick Shiraz (rrp $480 looool)
So much 'premium' wine!
Being kind and accepting the joke price for the yaldara, it's still a struggle to get to $900 with the others even if you use ridiculously inflated rrps for the twisted trunk and Devitt.
I've complained and told them they should be ashamed. Of course, it's my fault really for ditching my habit of not buying mystery mixes. Sigh. You have to laugh, or you'll end up crying!
Probably something from 1847 Wines / Ch Yaldara.Any idea on JD #658?
