$50-$60 is fair value and actually a good wine ( 2019 vintage)How was it?
There are cheaper Chardonnay’s on cellardoor.co (red label and eagle as an example ) but I thought this was okWhat was it that Buzz was looking for?
Are you referring to Wolf Blass or Kalgan River Chardonnay?I had a bad experience with the 2020 version of this. Bad in that I bought 12 and can literally only cook with it as the wife won't touch it! We've been pouring half down the sink. I would have been better off buying something from Margs for $15 for cooking and drinking. Or Jaluka is always amazing value. But was after something to beat this cost of living crisis and unfortunately this was not it!
How about freezing some for cooking? I normally just chuck cooking wine leftovers into a zippy bag or small jam jar and keep for another time. Doesn't seem to affect it for cooking purposesBad in that I bought 12 and can literally only cook with it as the wife won't touch it! We've been pouring half down the sink.
The 'reserve' Wolf blassAre you referring to Wolf Blass or Kalgan River Chardonnay?
Haha too structured for my cooking style. Prefer to drink the wine with the food I cook. Or beforehand! How about freezing some for cooking? I normally just chuck cooking wine leftovers into a zippy bag or small jam jar and keep for another time. Doesn't seem to affect it for cooking purposes

These are also worth looking out for, 2020 Domaine Saint-Damien Gigondas Le Louisiane | Nicks Wine Merchants. Prices are going up each vintage, but the wines are still fantastic for the priceGood offer, in fact the first good offer JD had in a long time probably since the last time they had this exact wine on offer
I bought the 2019 vintage cheaper from VM. Agree it’s great producer but for some reason it’s not unusual to find their wines heavily discounted
i wouldn't necessarily say that 2 vintages at 2 retailers makes it not unusualGood offer, in fact the first good offer JD had in a long time probably since the last time they had this exact wine on offerThis is truely an amazing wine/deal!
