Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Vineyard Road
Reserve Shiraz 2017
Rating: 94
This is instantly appealing on the nose with blackberry, spicy oak and clove aromas with a complex savoury nuance, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate that's succulent and plump. Generous and flavoursome with a beautifully rounded mid-palate, finishing lingering and delectable. At its best: now to 2029. $30.00. July 2023.

I've had a bit of Vineyard Road wine without ever buying any (long story). It's a FABAL brand which was recently taken over so I expect that's why they are offloading "old" stock. The Barossa shiraz is OK but I wouldn't pay $30. It's probably worth $10-$15 but I don't drink much $15 wine and wouldn't buy it. I wouldn't bother with their Langhorn Creek shiraz if that comes up for clearance - it's cooking wine.

If anyone sees it, I’m on the hunt for a decently large bottle of champagne that isn’t too crazily priced. A methuselah or nebudchadnezzar or similar.
Qaz posted a deal I missed previously, a few months back.
