2020 Robert Oatley Signature Series G-20 Grenache
(cancelled export order)

Interesting - I've probs had only one or two Rob Oatley wines ever and they were tasty enough. I see them discounted fairly heavily from time to time, bringing a mid-$20s wine into the mid teens or lower, but have never jumped. Anyone have experience to relate with these?

Mount Mary: Important Mailing List Update for This Year's 2022 Release
  • The 2022 crop was drastically reduced by very poor weather in November 2021, affecting the extremely critical flowering/ fruit set period of the growing season. Pinot and Chardonnay were hit the hardest, where we saw some of the lowest crops per acre we have experienced. Thankfully the Quintet varieties were spared in part, due to their flowering window commencing later and missing the cold, wet and windy weather!
  • From a quality standpoint 2022 will rank comfortably alongside the famed 2021 vintage, while stylistically, the wines show more power and fruit weight than what we saw in 2021.
  • Due to the extremely low cropping year, allocations of the 2022 vintage wines will be reduced. We anticipate that most of these wines will be fully allocated to our annual allocation members prior to the commencement of the release period.

I have not had the wines listed above but I bought the 2018 Robert Oatley Limited Release Barossa Shiraz made by Larry Cherubino under wraps from Wine Star.
I quite like it $30 down from $70

Got the 2018 Robert Oatley Limited Release Barossa Cab Sauv by Larry from Wine Star for $30, too - stunning wine I found (BR188).

This one just got 95pts in the JH Companion, which makes to pretty compelling at under $12!

12 Pack - Secret Deal - Super Premium Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 #2

Code: 100OFFYOURCABERNET#2
Sounds like this one

Saw this one mentioned before in this thread and now it's down to $110 for 6 with the code 40OFFYOURDOZEN.

Any one tried this one before?

I'm not a big fan, tried in a fairly strong set of 6, I found it a bit lean and astringent, tannin dominating the fruit on the palate, others in the group liked it more. I ranked the set in this order, all the others 2021 vintage.
Neldner Road Baross/Eden Valleys Shiraz
Eldredge Blue Chip Clare Shiraz
Head Old Vine Barossa Shiraz
Chaffey Bros Evangaline Eden Valley Syrah
Atze's Corner Bachelor Barossa Shiraz
Prosperitas Barossa Shiraz

Thanks @redbigot . I always attracted by the big bargain deal but quality-wise it may not be justified for buying.

Looks like it was also offered earlier this year.
The lake is large and slow to drain and 2020 Coonawarra not a stellar vintage, in fact very far from it. Caveat emptor.
