Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Firstchoice have a 30% off code for a small selection SAVE30

Obviousy not a lot of quality, but a few quaffers possibly? "6 or more" prices below
Reschke Rufus the Bull Cabernet Sauvignon ($8.65)
I like this Reschke as a quaffer but note that when you add the code it INCREASES the cost of the wine before the discount. Just a small amount, but it's there. 12 goes from $148.20 (12.35*12) to $150.54. Thought maybe it's no longer discounting for 6, but the math doesn't add up.

Total after discount is still correct at $103.74 (12.35*12)-30%

Just a weird glitch in displaying bottle price wrong... oh bring back the days of the DM cashrewards glitches :)

Hot tip (that you probably already know): the range of wine at each Coles is dependent on what the store they source from stocks. The two Coles store nearest to me are wildly different.

BL Cab needs a bit of time and cellars for a long time. At $50 it's too expensive. At <$30 it's great value IMO. I have some of most years from 2006 in my cellar but haven't paid the asking in recent years. It used to be a good buy on discount from Dan's on Wynnsday release.

At the risk of sounding controversial I think the Wynns BL Cab Sav is a tad overrated (very much my own opinion)...
I agree! I like it, but I just think it is worth around $25-$30 and there are a lot of other wines that are just as good (if not better) around that price point.

I see that Dans has the 2012 Wynns BL Cab for $140 at the moment! Those sub-$20 bottles from BWS a little while ago will be worth a bit in the years to come 😆

Got this at the recent Carpe Diem. Best $15 I’ve spent for a while…one dollar for each year of age.

They do such good wine. I had a 2013 Moritz shiraz recently (VM purchase, I think) - one of the best wines I've had all year.

Terms are "All items must be paid for and collected by 5/11/2024. We are open for pickup from 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Closed weekends. And Public Holidays.". With auction houses, you either collect yourself or hire a company to collect, wrap, and send to you. Sometimes auction houses will provide recommendations on companies to use, sometimes they won't. Very common for art auctions. Best to call them to chat further if serious bidding.

Yeah familiar with those for art.
Yes will enquire, but TBH interest doesn't exceed effort 😁
