Wynns V&A Lane - interestingly most reviews for this wine started at 92/93 and have changed to 95/96 by the same reviewer when retasted the following year

Oh yeah - the Leconfield certainly did not diappoint - at $18/bott absolute bargain IMHO - glad I doubled up and bought 2 doz!

I got a sixpack of the 2013 for $16/bott from WineDirect.com.au recently as a secret deal. They run a similar referral system as Vinomofo so i used my welcome credit to bring the price down from the advertised $20/bott. If anyone is interested in a referral link for $25 credit then please PM me

The 2013 was drinking great, i wonder how it compares to the 2012. Was the 2012 from Kemenys?

I thought it might of been the V & A but also got confused by the ratings, maybe one that will mature really well. Damn, sorry I missed out now, although $33 isn't really a bargain.

Just bought the cracka secret deal (Wolf Blass White Label) and got a $25 code in return. I'm unlikely to use it so if anyone wants it - FWJPGK2W. First in best dressed, valid until 14/04

Thanks! If I get a code, I'll share it here too.

I wasn't going to order the Wolf Blass, but the discount wrenched my rubber arm.

DM seem to be stepping up their "aged wine" game with the stores around me stocking a lot more non current vintage wine. Does anyone know anything about how their store it/where the buy it from? Would it not be a bit of a risky game for them?

I believe they just set aside a certain amount of wine for their cellar release program. It's probably not a big risk really as I assume their facilities are up to standard for cellaring wines.

They have two lots of aged wine. Their cellar release program and their Langtons wall. I think the cellar release stuff is a safe bet. Langtons wall...well comes in via the Langtons auction house. In other words, unknown provenance for the majority of it. Being from DM's though, just take it back if not up to scratch.

Justifiably sceptical, D6 ;).

Thought the current DM offering on Seppelt Chalambar shiraz 2008 @ $20 was pretty good. The current vintage sells for $17-18.

Its a great buy. A very good quality wine. If I didn't already have quite a lot of the Chalambar I'd be buying this without hesitation.

Thanks good people - any wine that gets a tick of approval on quality and value from you 2 fine gentlemen deserves some space in my cellar. $18.17 IMCAC with PayPal/WISH

Can I please clarify something here? Dr Ralph was it yourself who introduced us foreigners to Kemenys a month or so back? If it was - a HUGE thanks - what a good post that was. Also thanks for that little tip on Wolf Blass Black at Cracka ;)
