Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Can I please clarify something here? Dr Ralph was it yourself who introduced us foreigners to Kemenys a month or so back? If it was - a HUGE thanks - what a good post that was.

I've certainly discussed the Kemeny's Hidden Label products, although I'm not sure that I can claim I was the first to do so. I have recommended them and would continue to do so.

We definitely enjoyed the 'Obsidian'. Just need a free night now to crack open the Leconfield.
 
Thought the current DM offering on Seppelt Chalambar shiraz 2008 @ $20 was pretty good. The current vintage sells for $17-18.

I was tempted to jump on it too...but really don't need even more shiraz in my cellar, hence passed. Otherwise, excellent by IMHO.

We've also got an overload of Shiraz at the moment, which is why I've been picking up a few Cab Savs to balance it out...
 
Yes. That's what blackcat does. Decant into glass, then straight into mouth. Otherwise normally straight from the bottle ;)
Well one venue did offer me a straw when I purchased a bottle :oops:

usually I decant for an hour, depends how impatient I am. Guess the 2009 should wait a little longer.
 
Sacredtree seems to be the branding Gemtree is using for the China market.

Makes me wonder if this wine is overpriced.

I really should talk to Bkacky and Cruiser more.

Every time I look at these threads it is a deal that I "missed".
