Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Your local store should have tonight's list. No cheap St Henri like last year, some highlights off the back of my head 2010 Bin 138 from $48.90 to $24.90, 2010 Tahbilk Msanne from $16.90 to $10.90. Too bad my local store's store manager was with me the whole time so I can't take pics. Confirmed it will be a week long like last year's sale. Oh 2010 Filsell is $30 before I forget.

Here's a list of some of the specials from my local store

Local Dan Murphy's ?

sorry - Couldnt follow?

The same invitation only sale was held last year by DM. You can find the lists from different stores, provided by a number of members, if you search through the previous messages.

Items differed between stores. But some items, like the BIN 138 were very common at many stores.

I purchased every BIN 138 from my local DM. From memory there were about 10 bottles and they were $18 or $19 a bottle.

Still doesn't look as good as the 2015 sale.

My local DM has been open less than 12 months, so I'm thinking it may not have many older items for sale.

Stocks are being shuffled between stores based on RSVP numbers so that could be in your favour.

I'm done - 7x Bin 138, 2x The Tally, Wynns John Riddoch, Wolf Blass Black Label 2006, tonnes of Tahbilk Marsanne, Cullen Diane Madeline, now thinking if I should head back and grab the Mount Mary Quintet...scratch that, turns out some of these are cheaper from Langton's.

Not much to report from Melbourne Qv. 2.5 pages, markdowns around 30-40%. Lots of some things, not many of others. Most were higher priced items. I walked out with 4 bottles of quaffers:

Xanadu Next Of Kin Shiraz 2010 $10.90
Peter Lehmann Drawcard Shiraz 2010 $13.90 (they also had Shiraz Mataro)
Penley Phoenix Cab Sav 2010 $13.90
Jim Barry Lodge Hill Shiraz 2009 $15.90

Only just over one page of stuff at Burwood, Sydney. Lots of lower priced stuff. Only a few higher end things especially of good vintages. Chapel Hill The Vicar 2010 for $60 was one of the better deals.

Edit: Just realised I left the list in the car. Will post it later, though may not be of much help as it didn't have prices on it

Forgot these few. All prices were rounded up for both posts as I couldn't be bothered with all the .99

2007 Cape Mentelle Cab Sav is $90
2008/2010 Chapell Hill the Vicar $60
2010 St Hallett Old Block Shiraz is $76
Wynns Black Label Cab Sav 2008 $28, 2012 $25.

Lots of high end stuff at our store, but limited numbers of bottles. Obviously they started early as many were already gone... walked away with some Giant Steps Pinot, Grant Burge Filsell and a Mount Langi shiraz.

Picked up afew bottles at Kingsford, NSW, including Chapel Hill Mourvèdre 2011 at $25, O'Leary Walker Polish Hill Riesling 2008 at a very sharp $14, and the Tahblik Marsanne 2010 like everyone else at $11.

Was told in store that all reduced cellar release prices would be available online till midnight, including many not available in individual stores. But can see no evidence of that, even when logging in and getting to payment page, having trialled with some of the wines I bought in-store.

was anyone else told this or been able to access the reduced prices online?

I was told Click and Collect was available so maybe you need to select the store?

Go into your local store and scan your DM's card at checkout. I believe that it's intended as tonight only but the prices were available the next day last time around.

Getting access to the list after tonight becomes the problem. A kind word to DM staff may result in one being produced.

tiger8888, it was a limited time sale for My Dan Murphy members tonight.
