On my computer the Maverick GSM is still available at Cellarmasters.

I have both but haven't tried the Haselgrove yet. I am a fan of the '13 twins. One of my staff has finished a case of each so I will ask for a comparison tomorrow and report back

My colleague though the Switch was ok but didn't rate it against the '13 Twins

For Sir RedBigot please ignore the haters there's always negative idiots out there, what you've done for us sharing your well-researched findings is amazing :) just kinda sad that you've limited the membership number for your own forum.

On another note :-| i'm really late to the party for the cellarmaster discount seems like everything good is sold out, Grey label's gone, Maverick's gone, could anyone please recommend something else notable that we could still buy using the promo code?

Re Cellarmasters, the Maverick Twins and Switch GSM's are both there this morning, Kilikanoon Parable Shiraz 2013 (which I bought with a $100 off code but haven't tried yet).

Some people also seem to like the Nugan Durif
https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/re...ugan-estate-manuka-grove-vineyard-durif-R9770
and Gemtree Uncut Shiraz 2013 (which I thought, along with the 2012 wasn't quite up to the high reviewer points, but will cellar/settle short term probably)

I also bought https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/red/shiraz/wine/duval-affinis-barossa-valley-shiraz-R4593 with a $100 off code.

That last one sounds an absolute treat.....I'd love to get 3-4 only.

Head the warning, folks. Stop the subtle pokes and banter. Stick to the topic.

:D Thank you so much RedBigot, have bought a case of the Durif, never tried them before but it'll be good to learn about it.

Now just have to find a place to store them properly.

Yeah, this is probably a good way to start with Durif, Riverland fruit, not as big and confronting as some from NE Victoria.

If you are a member of cellardoor.co, they have the excellent Baileys of Glenrowan Durif 2013 (also the Petite Sirah, "same grape", slightly different style) @ $20, was $18 a while back when I bought it. This pair are seriously good wines for the price if you don't mind a lot of colour, flavour and tannin in your wine.

Again thank you for the recommendation, i haven't got membership to cellardoor.co will have to hunt that down elsewhere.

For the last two years i've made the mistake of only buying from VinoMofo without doing the in-depth research homework like you do, it was only from November last year that i've been buying up stuff you suggested and it's been great to sit on your recommendations.

Will keep an eye on this forum for all my future wine purchases.

There were bulk invitations available to cellardoor.co during March, I probably did close to 100, but finished now.
They don't always have better prices than retail specials, but occasional sales and deals on limited release wines make it worthwhile.
There is also cellarone.com (Accolade) and https://www.thedenlionco.com (Lion Nathan) that offer direct sales, with occasional bargain deals.

VinoMofo is a good source of bargains and a bit of dross as well, but there are many other avenues of sourcing great wines at reasonable/good prices.
As I guessed previously, VM probably has offered wines from maybe 10% of the wineries in Australia so far, there is a lot more out there, much of it ordinary, some of it great and price is not always and indication of quality.

Hi all
i have gone a little crazy with the current Cellarmaster deals but I have one glaring hole in my collection.
i need some Cabernet and Cabernet blends.
i generally prefer the Coonawarra and Mclaren Vale styles but am open to others.
Has anyone got any recommendations of value buying to make the most of the current deals.

Sandalford Reserve Cabernet 2010 $22.50 https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/mof_-secret-deal-cabernet-sauvignon-2010-Oct-22-151
Half-bottles of Parker Terra Rossa Cabernet 2009 https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/re...ra-terra-rossa-cabernet-sauvignon-375ml-R0999 after a $100 voucher may suit you.

How quickly do you want the wine? Langtons have Wynns Black Label 2013 for $25 and d'Arenberg Coppermine Road 2005 and 2012 for $55 if you need something right now.

Lindemans St George seems to come up on Winemarket at good prices (mid-20s or so) every so often, when coupled with their 20% off sales.

Thanks for the recommendations redbigot. I had searched and searched the CM website for reds (admittedly on the mobile site) and didn't find a couple of those.

A case of Gemtree Uncut 2013 on the way for $10 a bottle. I agree perhaps not worthy of the points it gets but I do like it, and at this price it's a no brainer :)

Thanks Redbigot and Anonymous Coward for your feed back.

The Wynns black label is a friend in our house with the 08 drinking beautifully at the moment.
I have parked a lot of the 12 but haven't tried the 13.
Lindermans peeved me with their rubbish produced last decade so I have found it hard to go back.
The Sandalford is nice but I do prefer the black label at the price point.
Has anyone tried the Vasarelli or Black Wattle Cabernet? Some brutal feedback would be appreciated.
ta Birdyzone
