Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thanks. I have been a member of Laithwaites for about three years and mainly buy their end of year packs. That group of 6 reds provides stunning value with attested pedigree. It included a Lloyd Shiraz, netting down to about $22 a bottle amongst others. Throw in a Cherubino, and the Arthurs reserve from Lake Breeze and you get seriously good wines. Their own batch stuff from Red Heads can be a little hit and miss but their customer service is fantastic. Similarly their introduction offers whereby they throw in 3 free on a dozen has worked well for me in the past. I was on the receiving end of a 3 dozen red wine credit, about eight hundred clams when one of my wines was delivered with 'random oxidization" . Twas the Blackstrapp. They happily credited me with the money , most of which I tipped back into those end of year six packs. Can't fault them.

I buy occasionally, even break my no corks policy on a few of the Spanish reds when on special, pretty fine wines some of them and cheap as.

Red Heads (Studio) from it's inception was making wine for Laithwaites UK, Justin Lane (Alpha Box and Dice) was one of the original group I think.

Just had my first dud DM (non)delivery. Call from a puzzled young woman asked if there was any difficulty accessing my site (my home) because delivery driver told her he could not access. Really! Told her I had never had access issues before and she responded she could see the house on google earth and saw there were no difficulties. Will deliver tomorrow. I think the driver may be telling porkies about being in the suburb at all.

Grrrrrrrrrr. This case just arrived this morning, the one with the Sorby Adams The Thing Shiraz ordered back on 25 May. I am sure it has been banging around the back of a truck the past 4 days after some good for nothing courier said he couldn't deliver it. I can feel some make-up adjustment coming on.

Cellar Door have a flash sale on "Coldstream Hills Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2015 (6 Bottle Case)" for $123.00 delivered

Re cellardoor - I do not seem to know anyone that works at TWE, so have had to investigate other methods of getting access. I tried sweet talking them a couple of times, but no dice.

The only option I can see available is becoming a TWE shareholder, but that will cost me $40 in brokerage ($20 on the buy and $20 on the sell).

Anyone aware of any easier ways?

DMs have both of the Grant Burge Unmissable Six packs back on sale; the one with the Abednego and the one with the Shadrach.
I bought one of each, notionally to get the prize in both. I had the Wills Block 5 single vineyard Shiraz recently from the Shadrach pack. For over thirty bucks, this is a disgusting wine, so acidic and bitey that after two glasses, down the sink it went. Them's the brakes in a mixer like this.

Bugger, I just get a "No results found" message. :(

Maybe they are already sold out, or realised it was a mistake.

Some old accounts don't seem to have access to all the deals after they re-jigged the site a while back, I had two accounts, one could see the deals, one not.

Send them an email with your account email and describe your problem, they may be able to fix it for you.

3.5 hrs later and only 5 of the 36 items listed still have stock. All items were originally available when I first posted. Seems I was wrong about this not being for everyone!
