Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

If DM is selling the under performing 2011 Gladstones compared to the Thomas Yule, I think it's a mean trick!

The Dan Murphy online guys are notorious. Among the shop floor staff!
The latter are left to field complaints from customers who aren't happy with the goods they get delivered, which I understand is frequent.

For those members who don't get out of the Frequent Flyer Wine Lovers thread I thought I would post a link to a proposed AFF wine tour.

There are about 2-3 member organised wine tours every year, these get posted in the Meetings and Social events thread.

Wasn't sure exactly where to post this Sparkling Guide as not really Champagne
https://tysonstelzer.com/articles/tyson-stelzers-australian-sparkling-wine-report-2016/

It was posted about a month ago but many wine lover members don't venture very far from the Vinomofo and Dans threads to see all of the valuable info available on Australian Frequent Flyer so it is good to give it more publicity on this thread.

Tyson Stelzer's 2016 Australian Sparkling report (PDF) can be found here for anyone who may be interested - Tassie has a good showing in most categories' (nothing in the Sparkling reds) with lots from the Tamar River region

Sounds dodgy. Contact dans and see if they can tell you which credit card was used.

I rang Dan's and the last online purchase they have from me was last year, which would be correct. PricePal can't be contacted until a week after the transaction. Not much else I can do for the moment.

Anyone tried Nicolas Perrin Crozes Hermitage 2010?

d'Or to Door, whom I mentioned about in [post=1480869]The Pinot Noir Thread[/post], have them for $45

I have just bought the 2nd last 2014 Willow Bridge Gravel Pit shiraz on graysonline ebay for a six pack for about #20 per bottle free delivery!
Around 3 weeks ago I bought it an end of year of special at an oulet for $25 but after 1st July back to $30. At that price it was well worth it as it is a big beautiful shiraz that just improved over many days (I'm no match for beefarmer).

I came upon this deal looking for pavers for renovation!
If you want to buy any of the Willow Bridge wines the deal is there by adding CTEC20 as the code .
If you are having trouble finding it on ebay search for Willow Bridge.

Thanks for the alert that the eBay tech sale is not just tech :)

A list of some of the better wines available is on OzBargain and it seems the prices are as good as [post=1459725]Qantas epiQure's sale last month[/post]

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/258139

My picks off there would probably be:

Brokenwood Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz 2013 $131
Mount Langi Shiraz 2013 $73
Howard Park Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 $71
Te Mata Bullnose Syrah 2014 $36
Cape Mentelle Wilyabrup 2012 $33
Te Mata Awatea Cabernet Merlot 2014 $31
Cape Mentelle Chardonnay 2014 $30
Cape Mentelle Shiraz 2013 $28
Woodlands Cabernet Merlot 2014 $16

Primo Estate JOSEPH Sparkling Red NV $44.99

received this today and contrary to the website blurb, it's not 2012 but the July 2014 disgorgement, considered one of the best, being rated 96pts by tyson stelzer and david prestipino, 95pts by mike bennie

I got an email today from 1st Choice saying "try next day delivery for free! Order before midnight today and receive your delivery tomorrow! No minimum spend threshold. Quick, this offer ends tomorrow!". No sign of a code, offer may be targeted. Worth $9.95.

They're also offering 1200 Flybuys for 12 bottle of wines if that helps anyone.

Tempted by the Glenlivet Founder's Reserve for $45 delivered (Vic).

Well qaz, I beat Ozbargain by one day! And they don't mention any of the Willow Bridge wines. The 2010 Black Dog shiraz is well decorated at wine shows and is prob closer to $40 rather than the usual $50.
But that 2014 Gravel Pit shiraz was so good I was not tempted!
I think it really worth it to purchase one bottle of something on sale as 6 or 12 pack just to see one's thoughts (not always possible due to access or timing).

They also didn't mention a couple of the Mystery Wines, which I assume to be Wolf Blass White Label 2012 (the Robe/Mt Benson Shiraz Cabernet and the straight Cabernet). Best price I've seen either of those for, ($20) if you use that coupon. (Not much in the way of rewards or points though, as you have to pay with PayPal. I think maybe you can get a small CashRewards rebate for making an eBay purchase.)

I cannot remember whether the mystery pack with the meschach has been discussed recently. It seems to be a shiraz 7 bottle affair with 6 botts plus the budget. Dunno what year, but some of the numbers, and punters reviews seem extremely favorable of the remaining six. It's a nice parcel, so please consider.

Mystery pack #8 from Dan's (actually via Winemarket) came today. Inside was

I'm not sure of what type of deals are going around for these, but I'm pretty happy with the mix. Some great inclusions and wines I've been keen to try but haven't previously had the chance

There's pack #9 with Katnook Odyssey which I believed have not been revealed.

Good morning Beefarmer the mystery pack you ask about has been on here before go to#3962 and see the photo of the pack. Cheers.

Are there any current WM discount codes? (the Filsell would be nice with 20-30% off)
seemed to have moved away from them recently. been waiting patiently for the six with the 2008 1st growth terra rossa but nothing in the last month or so

I saw an add on Freeview tv last night for a mix of 4 x Wynn's (think one was Black) and a bonus WB grey label magnum for $50

I only caught the tail end of the add so may have it completely wrong, and I cannot find it online to confirm.

I cannot find a way of selecting a store in another state on their site (only Tas), so it may show for others - has anyone else seen this?

This is what I was referring to -

Not black label or Grey label WB... Never mind

I didn't realise 9/11 was a Tassie only chain?
I reckon that's not a bad deal at all. Remember how good the red slasher tasted in January. I came away with a bot, and had it that week. I loved it with about 8 years on it. Went out and bought some to put away afterwards, considering my love affair with the John wade made essendonner starter in the eightees. It's not the best, but not the worst.

Furthermore, the Dannys $199 with Meschach included photograph before seems to have nice wines. What is someones opinion of them, and what would be the dud(s)?
