Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Latest Just Wines coupons (expiring at midnight tonight): GRAB50 for $50 off $175 and GRAB100 for $100 off $350.

Just ordered some Oakridge Willowlake Pinot half bottles and more Red Claw chardonnay half bottles. Came to just under $300 (less CR)...

$250 for a grab bag of 6 plus a 2008 St Henri

Included wines:

  • St Hugo Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
  • Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
  • Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz 2011
  • Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz 2011

I got this plus the Laurance Icon Cabernet 2014 for free using code BONUS, as advertised on the main page.

CR has tracked the sale with expected cashback as $13.52, plus 5.7% off WISH ($14.25) gives me 8 bottles for $222.23.

Most would think that $100 is a bit high for 2008 St Henri, so if you valued that at say ~$70, it gives you the remaining 7 for ~$150. I only got the St Hugo and Wynns; these are likely going to be presents.

Doesn't matter how you price the St Henri, this is a good deal. I got 3 each of the St Hugo and Wynns.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I got the Laurance for click and collect, despite it saying it was delivery only.
Put the code in, said there was some sort of error but it was still listed as free in the order. Went to pay and it went through fine.

Same here :)

Looks like JD Cellars has Tim Adams Aberfeldy Shiraz (year unclear) as a mystery buy for $36.91. Seems a decent price and the wine has good reviews but never tried it myself. Thoughts?

It's generally a good drop. From memory the 2010 was standout, but I can't think of a vintage that was bad (only been drinking it since about 2006). That's a good deal, depending on the vintage, it might be a very good deal.

I got the Ardbeg Corryvreckan and Ghosted Reserve 21YO and a Woodford sampler.
A few months ago Bowmore 18YO for under $140 was not honoured/fulfilled and refunded.
I have a feeling that this might be the case for the Ghosted 21 which is on back-ordered. Elsewhere is $260.

It's unusual for spirits/whisky to be 33% discount across the board. What's happening??

Just got shipping notification for the Ghosted 21 - really eager to try it!

My bet is the 2012. This has been flogged everywhere in the last 6 months. This price just about equals the cheapest it's been.

BWS clearance time again. As I'm travelling I've had to restrain myself.

Picked up four bottles of Mount Langhi Billi Billi Shiraz (3x2014 and 1x2013) for $7.50/btl

It is - did you end up buying it from [post=1646937]Cracka[/post]?

I also noticed that [post=1597774]you suggested WineStar even earlier[/post] :)

Hi qaz,

I'm too new to be able to send you a PM, but if you send ME a PM I could reply to you with my email address, because I would absolutely LOVE to take you up on the invite! Although I live in Adelaide unfortunately, so I wouldn't be able to share a case with you. But I LOVE Petaluma so much!! I'd just love to get a hold of some of those Rieslings so much!!

Thank you!!
