Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Is DM no longer doing Secret Selections? All of the SS options are out of stock. I’ve seen them refresh it with new ones but it’s never been all of them out of stock?

Same showing for me. Seems strange. Likely a temporary glitch.

Has anyone tried the Sidewood Adelaide Hills Shiraz which QANTAShave up at $19.99 and had a Halliday rating of 97? Comes down to a smidge under $16 a bottle delivered with the $50 code so seems a bargain based purely on the rating but I’m not familiar with it, and trying to determine whether to give it a go or go with something tried and trusted like the SC Pannell GST

DM's: Australian Shiraz Stunning Value Pack - $85

'Star Lane Beechworth Shiraz 2017

“There's a lovely hand-made artisanal feel to this wine,” the Dan Murphy's Wine Panel notes at 93 Points - one that you'll want to “contemplate and savour.”

Tyrrell's Special Release Shiraz 2015

Made from the most unique fruit parcels of each vintage season, Tyrrell's Special Release Shiraz bursts with fresh red berries and an undertow of spice. Considering this retails for more than $30 per bottle, this is incredible value from the 5 Red Star Halliday-rated maker.

Allinda Heathcote Shiraz 2017

Another elegant cool-climate expression from Victoria, this time from Allinda, boasting 93 Point scores from Sam Kim and the Dan Murphy's Wine Panel. Heralded by the latter as “a juicy bright early drinking style with substance and sufficient complexity to hold your interest.”

Irvine Eden Valley Estate Shiraz 2017

Shiraz from Eden Valley is above all known for its freshness, with Irvine crafting expressions that sit among the region's finest. The 2017 vintage burns bright with fresh red fruit on the palate, balanced by fine tannins and a soft, velvety finish.

Murray Street White Label Shiraz 2013

Murray Street are considered among the Barossa Valley elite, known in the region as Shiraz specialists. This White Label Shiraz uses fruit parcels exclusively from premium vineyards, resulting in a vintage of balance and poise. A must-try Barossa classic.

Haselgrove Teoranta Shiraz 2017

To round out the bunch, Haselgrove have come up with a generously-fruited expression, boasting regional charm by the bucketload: bright and alluring aromas of cherry, blueberry, wild herbs and cedary spice flows over onto a vibrant palate.'

This is last Friday’s email, looks like a good deal to me. Museum deals and magnums available, there’s 3 different prices there so it should be for anyone not just members.

They had this out for tasting along with the GR20 cleanskin. Couldn't say I liked either. The Parker was quite green capsicum, vegetable to me.

2015 RYMILL CLASSIC COONAWARRA CABERNET SAUVIGNON on special at the SiPPERY - Our Wines

$18.17 a bottle after you take off $20 referral credit, or $19 a bottle if you leave it sit in cart a day - you should get a $15 off code (message me if you're chasing a referral)

I'm waiting for the Seppeltsfield Shiraz 2017 to come back in stock, seems to sell out quick

I know dessert wines/ sweet wines only appeal to few people, but if you’re one of them...

Peter Lehman Bortrytis Semillon 2015 is going at ~$10.34/btl after usual discounts at WineMarket vs $19/btl at Dans and Cellarmasters.

If anyone sees the Maverick Twins Cab, Merlot, petit V or the GSM around on the cheap.. please shout out..

just finished up my stash I got from cellarmasters at around $10 ( IIRC ) a few years back..

It's worth dropping in to your local Dan's and look for the clearance stickers in the red wine sections - a number of old vintage wines at discounted prices - Taltarni 2008, Yering Station 2011, Te Mata 15 at $28, Pio Cesare Dolcetto 15 at $15

Anyone knows if Langton's will split payments over the phone with multiple cards (with same/different names)?
My experience is no. They lost a sale rather than doing a split payment and I ended up purchasing the wine I wanted at another retailer
