Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Local BWS had Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2012 in stock, but not showing available online. Original BWS prices make it to expensive with just 25% off.

There goes the wine budget for the rest of the year.

65 bottles later I’m in strife with Mrs H.

Perhaps if I open a $45 bottle of 2012 Peter Lehman Stonewell Shiraz she’ll understand.;):)

Denise at my local store realised I would need a peace offering and had a hand written note and sweets ready to go when I arrived.

Well played Denise.

And a shout out and big thanks to @Buzzard who was the OP... saving me an average 45% off the best available price at any other retailer for my entire haul.

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Can anyone recommend some champagne on BWS?
I opted for Bollinger and Pol Roger
BWS have a 30% off code valid until 27/8

Thanks again for sharing Buzz, got several bottles of Bollinger, Pol and Arras before the code stopped and stocked for Xmas - Love this forum for spotting the deals early!

65 is a fair crack - I thought my 34 was a reasonable go - and hopefully there is a tale to tell morrow aft.

I’d like to echo the tks to the Buzzard - great post!

Picked up 6 bottles of grant burge sparkling, good price. When I collected they had a load of penfolds 407/389/st Henri on display, but online said they had no stock available- ah well.

Yes, I found the Pokolbin Hills Semillon fairly bland tbh. Not a problem in young semillon as long as it is cellarable, but unfortunately the acid of this one does not really seem up for long term aging being quite soft. Predominantly lemon dominated, fairly fat in the mouth, quite a good food wine with good length. But not really my style and I am in no hurry to get any more.

thanks @AFAFA very helpful! Was definitely looking for some sem that could be put away so will give this one a miss.

Separately, does anyone know when the next bonus rate for DM’s cashrewards will be? (If it’s even possible to know/anticipate)
