Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I am thinking SC Pannell Syrah?
Nice one, thanks for the heads up here! Big S.C Pannell fan and not that common to see their wines heavily discounted.

Called up and whilst not huge, got an extra 3,000 FF points for 18 bottles at $359, with an offer of further discounting if i got the purchase up over $500. If you value the points at min $15 (value if you were redeeming for gift cards) its worth the phone call. I'm QFF silver and not a premium wine member so maybe better rewards on offer for others.

Hi All,

Any tips for best Red wine quaffers for a lazy mid week drink - Thinking less than $20 a bottle - extra points if under $15. Have found that I have horded a large amount of fine wine (i don't want to drink yet) and don't have many bottles ready for drinking now. Any tips would be great!

Thanks.

Any recommendations? Some decent drops at some stage, but then some wineries I've never heard

Not really. I often buy a mixed box (especially if 1:50 boxes might get a Grange) to get a bit of variety and you usually only get one or two that you really don't like. Not necessarily bad wine but just not to my taste.

A personal fav at that sub $20 level is Seppelt Chalambar, which is a blend of heathcote and grampians shiraz. Super consistent year to year, and is a great mid point in terms of not being a super heavy Shiraz but offering some liveliness and depth as well. Retails at $27 but if you're a Cellar One member it can regularly be picked up there at around $16, and if not its usually available for just under $20 if you put in a bit of effort, e.g. right now $18.99 here: Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz 2016

I keep hearing about this Cellar one! Do you know how to become a member? The only special thing I have is Henry and Paul - which is all of Pernod Ricard's products. Happy to help you get access to that.

My apologies! seppelt is actually on Cellar Door not Cellar One! I have a bad habit of getting those confused.

Thanks, I’d love to explore the Pernod Ricard benefits if you’re happy to help there. Looks like another member has beat me to the punch and cut my lunch on a Cellar One referral, which suggests they want it more than me, so go with their link!
