Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

OzBargain users would say I was selfless in sharing the deal. Can’t please everyone.
The deal was honoured so not sure why you feel such a strong sense of entitlement.

In case you forgot, I wrote on previous post (which you read) that I’m not condemning you for posting on OzB so not sure which sense of entitlement you’re referring to from my part.

You however were being selfish by sharing multiple deals from this group on multiple occasions without giving members here adequate time to make sure a deal is honoured or at the very least is wait until shipping is confirmed.

You also refused to quote the source, even when confronted about it you became defensive and argued instead of acknowledging your error, something you eventually had to do after a moderator intervened.

Now let’s talk sense of entitlement. Do know the definition?

“A sense of entitlement is a personality trait that is based on a person's belief that they deserve privileges or recognition for things that they did not earn”.

Hmm... A bit ironic that you of all people use this phrase against other members in this group.

Okay, time for a Moderator intervention here. <Mod hat on>

Once information is posted in a public domain (whether AFF or anywhere else), it is available to all readers of the website, whether members or guests. There is nothing in the Terms of Service that preclude sharing of available information on any deals, nor is there a time frame where information is the domain of only members. Please read the ToS and correct me if I'm wrong. Nobody should have any sense of entitlement because there is none.

First and final warning - this is where the subject ends. Back to normal programming please, lest Mod actions be required.<Mod hat off>

Thank you Mr Moderator. It pains me to see things getting snipey here. There's no need given we're all meant to be grown ups in order to drink wine.

I do think we should be able to talk respectfully and calmly about what might be good form amongst us, beyond the bare requirements of the rules. This one moved a bit too quickly away from that, which was a shame. Classic internet - would it have gone like that amongst friends face-to-face?

Bring on the good times chaps!

Got a welcome20 discount code anyway, so good deal for the Verticals.

Anyone got an idea of the new JD Wines secret chardonnay?

Secret Wine # 213.

"Beautifully refined and elegant, the bouquet shows nectarine, rockmelon, nougat, lemon peel and vanilla characters. The palate is succulent and delightfully rounded, delivering excellent weight and concentration, backed by creamy mouthfeel and bright acidity. Wonderfully harmonious and balanced. At its best: now to 2023.."
