Just got home after checking out three LL stores in inner Melbourne - two didn’t even stock Blackwell! Third had shelf price at $38, asked cashier to scan it, scanned at $35. Decent, but not great price. Was advised online has different prices.
A day of mixed fortunes - had 5 bottles on order at local store, cancelled! Was in Sydney city, and thought I’d have a look in LL express World Square. Found 4 bottles, but shelf price $38. Not optimistic having already read earlier post. But price checked at $15, practically ran back to shelf for other 3 bottles.

Head office told the guys on the 1300 number that it was a pricing error and that's why mine wasn't processed
Yep call Ctr staff much more on the ball than staff in stores - I have been knocked back several times by call ctrs - much better to go instore

Ordered 5 bottles Click and Collect at 1:20 Got pick up SMS at 1:45 I was contemplating ordering some more but “he who hesitates......” 🙁

Did 2 C&C orders earlier at nearby LLs. Received confirmations of ready for collection almost immediately. First store had a store manager that told me corporate just notified him prior to me arriving that it was a pricing error and not to honour it. Wouldn't budge and gave a refund. 2nd store was no problem and got my order. I asked if they had more and clerk said it was a deleted line which is why it was priced so low. Funny how you get different stories.

Wasn't Randwick was it? I ordered five from there. Never got a text for pick up but just turned up anyway. They said there were two online orders that came through at the exact same time. They said they had never seen it before.

Callar One had Blackwell 2017 last month for $159 ($139 after referral). Now it’s $179 but could drop again.

Next time instead of looking for LL stores better call DM customer service to try and PM. They may or may not do it but it’s definitely more time efficient. I had no issues to PM this time and they were even patient enough to search for stock in different stores around BNE.

Not very. I did a few things which I think helped:

1) I put everything in the trolley first and went to the busiest checkout I could find. I think if I'd gone up to the counter on arrival I would have met more resistance. I had the LL website on my phone ready to display and asked for a price match.

2) When the very young manager told me he thought it was a pricing error I asked for evidence. His response was that the discount was very large. I suggested that he may not have been in the game long and that discounts of 70% are not uncommon against RRP.

3) I reminded them of their price match promise (technically it didn't meet the terms though).

4) I buy a lot of wine from that store.

I've now been to two other stores and cleaned them out as well. Less resistance at those stores. I also tried a BWS, but they indicated that they don't price match.

Good tips, I got 9 bottles from LL so I didn't end up trying DM via PM, but would be worth trying in the future.

How many bottles did you buy? It would be quite a bit to clean out 3 DM stores!

I didn't know you can price match by calling, so you just ask the customer service to PM and you don't need to talk to the individual stores?

It was! I didn’t get text either, so obviously went in later than you, to be told I’d been beaten to the line. Wasn’t happy at time, but all good in the end. Karma etc.

I have a total of 42 bottles.

A Halliday 97pt wine for $15 that cellars until 2047 is an exceptional bargain. Easily the best valued wine of 2020 for me.

I believe the words I said to my partner just before I left the house were 'it's on, I have to go now.'

I ordered a few bottles earlier today - and was sceptical as to whether it would be received. Got order confirmation email.

Currently no orders in my account tab showing on the website. So ... I expect it has been cancelled. Nice of them to send an email to let me know ... :/

Liquorland are known to be dodgy with cancellations.
They don’t normally bother letting customers know when orders are being canceled, just refund the funds.

Please tell me you didn’t clean out Corrimal DM

The excitement seems a bit lost on me, $15 for the Blackwell doesn't seem as crazy as some of the other deals on here?

Easier to scoop from Cellarone without the potential trouble?

I probably haven't cellared mine for long enough, I found it nice enough but not something I personally need heaps of?
