Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I wonder if I should go to Dan's for a price match :p

50/50 chance - utilised @DrRalph's strategy and managed to PM 3 bottles yesterday. Tried again today but not following his strategy and failed. I think picking the right time AND the checkout operator plays a big part - the operator ended up getting the manager to check Coles online and of course they can't find the wine therefore no PM. The one that PM'ed for me didn't do any of that.

I pm’d at DM a couple of weeks back on this in NSW when it was fresh. Searching using coles online brings it up but says it’s unavailable so unlikely to PM unless you use the Dr Ralph strategy and even then only 50/50 I reckon

Can someone remind me of Dr Ralphs strategy

I accidentally ended up with 2 six packs at around $10/bt delivered. The jury is out. It's under cork, and the first one was musty when opened, I left it for a day and the fruit came out quite nicely. The second bottle was musty when opened...the label says cellaring potential 2 to 5 years...will see what that one is like tomorrow.
So I'm really curious about this and interested in any theories. I ended up with a dozen of the 2013 Trenthams, which were under cork and I guess hadn't been stored laying down (because that's no longer required, right?). The first few I opened had a definite mustiness when opened but seemed to settle down after a while. I resisted tossing them and have had them on their side for a few weeks. The last couple have actually been quite nice straight out of the bottle. Not sure whether it's because they have been stored differently, or just normal bottle variation...

Best thing to do is probably call the LL store at the Coles where you are to place the order to check the stock. That way you know the order wont be cancelled.
Good advice. I placed an order, called, and no stock...

Nowadays I'll drink through 2 bottles over 3 nights on a weekend.
I cut out weekdays because it was adding up to a lot of drinks across a week even without ever drinking to excess on any night

Some times I drink 3 bottles a week in Cov19 period. This week I start to ride to the office. I try to control to only drink 1 bottle in the weekend like before.
I gained 5 kg already.

Today walk in a LL near my office. Saw this. It starts from 14/10, I missed it.

I reckon I would average 2 bottles per week. That would typically be 4 nights doing half a bottle and 3 nights off it completely. If I have a big night on a Friday or Sat and blow through 1 - 2 bottles I'll try to pull back the throttle over the next few days/week.
