Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I ended up with the Shottesbrooke 2012 Single Vineyard Shiraz. Opened one the other night and it was very good, probably getting to the end of it's life though. I also had the Rose Kentish 2014 Old Vine Shiraz Cabernet arrive today, popped a bottle and immediately ordered 6 more. At under $15 (seems to be location dependent) it's a steal. Mine were under cork and all were missing the top seal, so that may have something to do with the price.
Totally concur re Shottesbrooke Shiraz - mine was Single vineyard - Jenkin's 2013
One of the nicest Mclaren Vale Shiraz I have tried of late. Very supple elegant seems lighter yet textured dark fruit/chocolate on the palate long lingering - just a beautiful wine wishing I got more than 4 bottles i the DM sale.

Where did you buy Rose Kentish? Hidden label DM has gone up in price again!

I liked it too. Found it quite light. Definitely less Cabernet than Shiraz. What did you think?

It was an online order 5 weeks ago. I’ve cut my name and address out of the invoice, so don’t know how helpful this screenshot will be.
ha! you got it even cheaper than me. they had no stock left when I tried to match... I was lucky they matched it.

You guys can try this screen shot too

You can get that view from the BWS app if you select St Leonard’s as the store. Depends on how clued up the DM manager is, usually they will google themselves. I found Vintage Cellars will also price match and are less picky.

From Dan Murphy. The price seems to vary based on your location, even with delivery. It's $14.88 for me, East Brighton Vic.
Thanks very much for this tip. I have called up Dan Murphy and they told me that the price for the members specials delivery should be the same Australia wide (Apparently prices in the stores may vary).

It took me a while to explain, loading up my cart with the wine and different addresses producing different prices etc,

The long and the short of it, she did override the price from $62.90 to $14.88 and I managed to get 2 cases of it.

I have had Rose Kentish blend in the past about 2-3 years ago - I have paid $38 from memory for Underwraps and thought it was very very good but tad pricey.

I might try this. What stores had it in stock at $14.88? I can find some stores with that price in Victoria, but it’s out of stock.
Thanks for your help

Hi, it is available online for a delivery. I had to set up a generic Victorian address to illustrate my argument to a DM rep on the phone. Please see the attached snap of my cart.

I just said at the end of the day, I would have to have it shipped to my cousin in Victoria so he could ship it to me to Sydney and this is just insane.

They have stock in Ascot Vale but it's $62.90 per bottle. I could only get the low price with delivery to postcode 3187.

Didn't work for me - trying to get it matched in QLD - the response i got was the difference is probably due to a sale in VIC which Dan's is Price matching. Sounds like rubbish - seeing as it is meant to be a mystery product.

@paddywide @BDorrington @Timratoo

It took me 2 phone calls (yesterday and today). Yesterday they set up a support ticket and said they will look into it and today I called again as they didn't call me back as promised.

I used my address and the address I set up in Vic 3187 and loaded up my cart and made them to have a look at my account and my cart and switch the address from Sydney to Vic 3187.

From what I understood speaking to several people there is that they CANNOT have different prices for the delivery to different addresses in Au for Members - stores apparently can.

That said for my plan B I have set up a parcel collect address in Brighton East on My Post app, and was going to send it there and redirect it to my address in Sydney.
