Booze bud is running a 10% off 4 or more bottles of wine. Stacks with the buy 1 get 1 free promotion for Henschke Riesling, Ringbolt Cab Sauv and others...

I'm tempted by the Ringbolt at that price

Do you drink Gin?
They often have a handful of premium gins which frequently get removed before boosted promotions but there are a few in stock at the moment
just bought a bottle of Hendricks summer special for $65 at Liquorland...

Any idea on what this Riesling is?

The $25, 94 Point Riesling - for $9.99

Who would have thought that of all the varieties that we have featured in the mystery wines series that the one with the greatest demand, and as an extension the one hardest to procure good volumes of, is the humble Riesling.

We have managed big savings on high rated Dry Rieslings from Great Southern in Western Australia to Eden Valley in South Australia, outstanding examples of half or 'off-dry' from Pemberton and even a Noble Riesling from Coonawarra.

However the Watervale in the Clare Valley is considered Riesling's spiritual home in Australia. What a perfect segue... We have managed to source a nice chunk of a pristine Riesling from a secluded vineyard on the rocky eastern edge of Watervale. We will of course work our pricing magic but first the good oil from Sam Kim:
Bright, fresh and pristine, the inviting bouquet shows white flesh peach, lemon sorbet, green tea and floral aromas, leading to a finely expressed palate displaying excellent varietal purity combined with refined texture and linear mouthfeel. It’s brilliantly structured by zesty acidity, finishing superbly long and elegant. Drink: 2022 to 2032; Price: $25.00; Rating: 94 Points; Sam Kim; Wine Orbit
A RRP of $25.00 - which is about par for the course for even entry level Watervale - comes back to just $9.99 a pop, the catch being it is sold in dozen lots only. Insert something about not being able to go wrong, load up and enjoy this wine over the next decade! Have a great weekend.

Mystery Watervale Riesling 2019 - RRP $25.00 - $9.99

Probably this:

With the comments around Vivino - I'd contend that perhaps there is a different way of thinking about it. Obviously not somewhere to go looking for expert reviews, so not really that worthwhile reading or critiquing individual reviews there. It functions as an aggregate review site, so you go there to look for some sort of consensus, acknowledging that there will be reviews from sharp minds and dunces alike. Its like IMDB for film - you will find some absolute nonces saying some ridiculous things about film there in individual reviews, but on average, a great film will get a decent score over time, and a horrible one will get a bad score. Or tripadvisor - some totally useless reviews, but generally a great hotel will have decent score... etc etc.

Vivino is the same for me - its useful for sensechecking a wine to see if its a disaster, or if its maybe something at least decent. It's not about looking for expert opinion or nuance, thats just not what user driven aggregate review platforms offer.

I'll let you know once they're delivered but at $12/bottle it should benchmark well
the ringbolt 18s were surprisingly really good for a young wine. Not one you can keep beyond 5 years IMO. At $12 is amazing. Dunno the vintage but most likely 19s. If only you could find the vintage. No knowing the vintage is part of the reason I've never bought from BB before.
