I think it's a bit out of date now, to hard to keep up with the rate of marketeers name inventions.

Of course there is the old story of the bottling line at Cellarmasters stopping to load a different label to be applied to the same batch of wine, no idea if it is true or not.

Just by chance I came across this article from my sometime drinking buddy Philip White from the old days at the Exeter (a great writer). More on the W.E.T.

Not too bad - typical of recent deals with ~$15 wines, and then one with a high RRP. I note that members can buy it for $70, so the retail price in practice is probably closer to $140-150 for the six-pack based on what you can see these wines for individually.

As such, it still a reasonable deal if the wines are of interest, especially with other discounts on top.

It's nice enough, especially at the $10/bot mark. If anything, it's a bit on the light side for a cabernet. It's been up a few times on Vinomofo, and I think a few people have posted reviews in either the Vinomofo thread or the "Nice Wines" thread.

Never heard of this small outfit, but it certainly sends a buy signal particularly considering the age of the vines. Buy a couple on spec and top up. I recently had a Henschke Henrys Seven SGV 2010, two out of three common varietals, and it was good. I know the V component is totally different to the M in Veronique, but Henrys is a very refined wine. The famous Maverick GSM 2013 is a stunner and has a rougher, spicier element to it. It certainly works. You have to love the excitement of finding one for yourself from the multitudes out there.

Many including myself love it - some not so much. There are quite a few posts in the nice wines thread covering both pros and cons.

WM have had it this week for $119 with free delivery - and Happybanker gets a good discount if you have not already used it

Its an enjoyable wine and good value at the price point. Know the winery through work colleagues - we have bought cases of it over the years and always been a hit. Dominic Torzi helps with the winemaking - you could do worse!

I have never had it

I grabbed some a couple of weeks ago when it was going for $8 a bottle. It's certainly great value at that price point, but still good buying at $10. Here are my tasting notes. I had recently finished a bottle of the 2011 vintage, so I was using it as a benchmark:

Quite a different wine to the 2011. It is much younger however. There is sweetness on the attack and marked acidity on the back palate. There are dusty tannins in support, so it should all come together with time. The flavour profile of the 2013 is towards the sweeter end of the spectrum, loosing some of the seductive savoury core of the 2011. The flavours are strongly in the blackberry, black cherry and cassis spectrum, with only a hint of the raspberry from the 2011. Secondary complexity is still a little laking at this stage of its development, with hints of cigar box, liquorice and spice present. Very nice, but really needs more time. A 90/100 on CT from me.
