Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

From a BWS perspective, certainly not.

Being part of Woolworths, who are currently having a salaried team member pay review dating back over the past 5 years, which is going to cost them millions. They are saving every penny.

I just wanted to point out that it isn't going to 'cost' them millions. It _has_ cost you and others working for Woolies millions. It's your money that they didn't pay you so it's costing them literally nothing!

For a stuff up of this magnitude they should have clawed back management bonuses over the period of time they underpaid workers for allowing this to happen.

And back to the thread - love the ability of this group to demystify the mystery purchases...

You're not wrong. I'm just telling you how they'll see it. There's also been a real lack of any good EOFY deals coming down lately (which was my original point), especially compared to the shenanigans going on at Coles Liquor right now.

Still a few clearance items popping up at VC....Nebu for $30

Comments on the Wine Front mentioning that Tapanappa Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay 2018 can be found at some Vintage Cellars in Adelaide and Perth for $10-$20 a bottle. Gosh I wish there were some in Sydney at that price.

The Nebu went on sale a while ago but was probably overlooked due to better offers at that time. Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals
I had seen Nebu in the thread but the price hadn't been applied in my local store. I now drop in every time I'm heading to the supermarket and there's been one or two new clearance items added. In this case I asked the staff member to open the glass cabinet so I could get a bottle and he said he wished he had seen that on the shelf as he would have bought it himself...

If it’s the same vintage (2016 in the case of Nebu) it should be same price across all VC stores although it’s not always the case so next time when you see it again in another store and it’s marked full price ask them to scan it twice. First time it will show the full price and second scan will show the discount. This was my experience with a proactive store manager who did exactly that.

My first post! So glad I found this forum, thanks everyone for their recent VC posts.

was able to get a few bottles of the Mount Mary at $68.99, Seppelt at $38.99, d'Arenberg Coppermine road ($38?), Grant Burge Nebu ($28.99) at Dans via price match.

walked in one day, had the Duty manager... he said they aren't matching anything at Vintage Cellars... walked in again to the same store the next day and found someone else and they matched it for me :)

There seems to be a few more bottles of these wines at Dans. Just want to ask, are the prices for these wines some of the best you guys have seen? is it worth getting more now?

I would get as much Mount Mary as I could fit in my car at that price. The others are solid but the Mount Mary is ridiculous.

Welcome to AFF @CTT!

Great price for Mount Marry, can’t see it getting any better.
Seppelt and d’Arenberg I’ve seen at similar prices before.
Nebu is first time I’ve seen on significant discount but being Grant Burge wine I’m sure it will pop up again somewhere.

This is the year of mega sales across the board. Any time you’d think you saw the best deal another one will appear.

Man, I wish there was a VC in my town. Mount Mary undoubtedly the bargain of the year!

There were quite a few bargains of the year last few weeks such as Art Series Chardonnay, Moss Wood Cab Sav, Standish and WB Plat which some managed to buy at $60.
Depends on your style of wine but luckily there was something for everyone.
(well maybe not much champagne but it’s not over yet).
