Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Much better value on offer in the Langtons monthly sale.

In my opinion the best value-for-money Australian Cabernet at $20/btl, especially 2018. 95+ at TWF.

All props to Brian's message board for this (even though I'd bought some before it was posted...)
Is there a trick to this I am not seeing. Still comes up as $50 a bottle for me. Ignore, hadn’t read the previous replies.

Opened the 2004 Chalambar tonight, did let it breathe for 4 hours in a decanter and it’s drinking like a dream! Lots of sediment in the bottle and needed the time to open up. Wouldn’t leave it any longer.
Great work. What a relief! Next the '06. It had some non-glowing reviews on vivino but perhaps good ole Chalambar can put all the naysayers in their place!

For those who missed the BIRTHDAY25 or haven't used theirs yet the Wynns 2012 black label shiraz is back online and available for single bottle purchase wynns.com.au. Ends up $11 for a bottle delivered. Apologies if this is old news.
Edit:
No-longer able to purchase single bottle :( (thanks Feebs)

Seems to be a few more items getting added to the BWS clearance pages, but they are all showing as full price. Curious. I’m also wondering why none of the whites seem to be getting heavily discounted - I would have thought shorter shelf life means they need to go quicker.

There’s 6 packs of 2012 Trentham Family Reserve regularly coming up on Grays. Be patient and they should be available for $34-$44 plus delivery and fees. I have some coming, 4.1 on Vivino but I think that may be a bit generous...
I accidentally ended up with 2 six packs at around $10/bt delivered. The jury is out. It's under cork, and the first one was musty when opened, I left it for a day and the fruit came out quite nicely. The second bottle was musty when opened...the label says cellaring potential 2 to 5 years...will see what that one is like tomorrow.

finding the same in SA stores (inc. Petaluma): maybe the prices haven’t been updated? Feels like BWS aren’t being as generous to SA customers, and I’m slightly jealous of some of the deals others have been getting in the Eastern states! I have two stores within walking distance so will report back anything interesting :)

With BWS clearance lines, their discount will progressively increase over time depending on how much stock is left to clear across the business. The white wine review has only just started. Best course of action is to formulate a watch list and then review every Thursday morning (when prices update).

I just had a quick look at their website. Looks like they have tightened up with what you can buy as a single bottle. The 2012 shiraz can only be purchased in lots of six.

Amazing! I bought one at 10:40pm last night.
What if I’m only after the sticky tin, can that be purchased separately? :p
I've got a spare if you're really into that sort of thing!
