I just went to pick my up my order and noticed there was 1 on the shelf. So I asked if I can get it for the same price. The guy said it should be even cheaper! Scanned as $10! Wow.

Hopefully it is deleted lines not pricing error.
The wines were placed on the price to clear section.

LL are generally terrible at click and collect. You place an order and you don't get a pickup text for hours or even the next day. At Dan's you get it within 10 minutes

My local LL had none in stock but did have St Hallett Lore of the Land Shiraz for $8.

Yes, they are not updated.
One of the store still showing up as available. Then I click and collect - the guy said the last bottle sold already - not sure why it still allow me to order. He apologies then cancel & refund my order.

The guy at my store said it was clearance\deleted stock as well

That's what they said about the St Hugo $15 deal earlier this year and then the next week they restocked it at the same old price

nice, the Dans here are pretty tight. They check the local LL website, if not in stock no deal.

I raced round the local LL stores this afternoon at Toombul & Ascot (QLD) but no joy...

Placed 3 orders from 3 different stores. Not one text yet 3 hrs later. No chance they'll be on the shelf when they go to pick them.

Just got home after checking out three LL stores in inner Melbourne - two didn’t even stock Blackwell! Third had shelf price at $38, asked cashier to scan it, scanned at $35. Decent, but not great price. Was advised online has different prices.

It wasn’t hard - they just checked and checked the LL web site - this was past the time when it was showing withdrawn but you could not see that until you added a bunch to cart and tried to check out - body language displayed total reluctance but they did proceed with the PM

Not very. I did a few things which I think helped:

1) I put everything in the trolley first and went to the busiest checkout I could find. I think if I'd gone up to the counter on arrival I would have met more resistance. I had the LL website on my phone ready to display and asked for a price match.

2) When the very young manager told me he thought it was a pricing error I asked for evidence. His response was that the discount was very large. I suggested that he may not have been in the game long and that discounts of 70% are not uncommon against RRP.

3) I reminded them of their price match promise (technically it didn't meet the terms though).

4) I buy a lot of wine from that store.

I've now been to two other stores and cleaned them out as well. Less resistance at those stores. I also tried a BWS, but they indicated that they don't price match.
