Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Not another Clarendon Hills deal!
It's back at Langtons.
2012 Clarendon Clarendon Grenache at$25/btl for 6 pack. Cheaper than gwd.
JH scoring and price and date all matches.
I bought it previously at the same price - but I haven't tasted it.
I have tasted the older vintage which I really liked.

Nice Grenache and I’m pretty sure this exact vintage was sold by DM under wraps for ~$12 last year.

Oh really? Did you get some?
I wish i had spotted the Grenache.
The One from DM I bought was the same vintage but different category and wine.
I bought some from DM - it was 2012 brookman Cab Sav

Yep I got a doz, all gone now (gave some to friends).
The Brookman Cab Sav I got from DM was 2013. Did they also have 2012 on sale? Must have missed that.

Nice!
Yeah I got the 2012Cab. The 2013 was the Merlot. Never thought they had the Grenache that low.
But this year DM hasn't had many good secret deal any more plus no more pick up for most items.

I had 2013 Grenache for about 12 dollars from DM - I believe the view from this forum is that this is not very good, at least is not as good as the Cab for the same vintage. BTW, I tried a couple of bottles a few weeks ago. It is not too bad!

Dan's in Parkdale had 30% off stock they are discontiunuing. Lots of Riseling, few internationals (not well versed here), but they did have a handful of:
  • 2013 Grant Burge Shadrach - $60
  • 2015 Woodlands Russell Cabernet Sauvignon - $79

20% cash back at Firstchoice via Shopback. $20 cap. From 3pm - 7pm.

Update: I have removed details of the extra bonuses. These were a mistake. Apologies.

Update 2: Obviously I didn't get enough sleep last night! It's First Choice not Liquorland! In my defence I was celebrating a big life event last night. Apologies again and I do hope I didn't inconvenience people too much.

You have to confirm your cart to get the discount.

It can be stacked with the code XC3z-1QB-a5y which gives you $10 off a $50 spend for "new members", but is just a standard discount code. I saw it on OzB, signed up today and got emailed the same code.

Ended up getting Bollinger LGA 2005 for $127.78 (after 5% off Wish discount, no CR or SB discount). Called the store first and they said it was a 2005. Clearance price of course, varies between stores.

My ShopBack LL shows only 3%. Anyone shows different?
My mistake. It's First Choice. NOT liquorland!

And 20% definitely showing now for First Choice. Will finish at 7pm.

Huge apologies. Got that completely wrong. There's been so many of these in the past week or so at shopback and cashrewards for liquorland and first choice it's hard to keep up! I have updated the original post.

Anyone spotting anything amazing? Not wine but i don't mind the peroni red imports for $40 a carton + 20% off.

Thank you very much for this. I have been monitoring clearance items in my localish area.

For a total of $151.73 (using the above codes, 10% off for 6, and 5% Wish discount), I have ordered the following:
* Ata Rangi Pinot Noir x 4 bottles ($42.50 clearance price)
* De Bortoli Noble One x 1 bottle
* Morris Classic Liqueur Topaque x 1 bottle

I'm happy with that.

For those looking for a clue to the locale, it is the suburb with probably the lowest rates of vaccination in the country. Thankfully to it's relatively good socio-economic status, the BWS gets better lines of wine that surrounding stores.

Nice pickup, what vintage on the pinot?

I just finished my Sunday BWS drive and did a top up on my chardys :) thoroughly satisfied.

Oh and for those who are unaware, the everyday rewards points offers for BWS are not limited to just one transaction, despite what the terms and conditions say. So consider splitting orders of large purchases.
