Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Couple of months ago, there are Wynns and Penfolds $20 discount, I think some of us register multiple email and purchase 1 bottle for that special price. What is the difference?

None.Openly spruiking as you do of work arounds and duping systems is not the AFF community way. What you are doing could ruin it for all of us as places catch on. Cease and desist. Ozbargain is for looselips. Other than that refer back to Cruiser Elites post.

  • my first Muddy Water ($28 @ Camberwell Cellars) and perhaps one of my first skin fermented wines - not smashable for me (no wine is, beer maybe), preferred it a few days later
Greystone's Dom Maxwell @ 6-7pm Thursday 26th November - $120 (free MEL delivery):
  • 2019 Greystone Pinot Gris - MB93
  • 2019 Muddy Water Skin Ferment Riesling Gewurztraminer - MB95
  • 2017 Greystone Pinot Noir
(to use a $50 referral, you'll need to order extra single bottles to reach the $200 minimum)

Dub Style Tangerine Skin Contact Riesling 2019 - MB94 - $22.95 @ Annandale Cellars in 6pk

Sold out now.
That's was quick! Was ready to pull the trigger

yes, when back-vintages are at current release prices, must be quick - they had Seppelt St Peters Shiraz 2004 (JO97, GW/JH/PE96) for $55 earlier, still some chardonnay and pinot noir available

Since most of the time, you are not allowed to disc Penfolds items.

yes, it's unusual that this is the second or third time this year that Penfolds haven't been excluded

I recall there used to be a thread for referrals however looks like it’s gone now when I tried searching. Keen to get a referral to it also if anyone can help out!
Found this thread, although as Dr Ralph said, we probably have to wait and see whether the referral will open up again:
Anyone have experience with inviting people on Cellardoor? I seem to be able to invite for the first time and it gives me the option to add more than 1. Does anyone know if I just invite one person, does it close again or can I invite as many as I like in 'one big invite'?

Cheers

some members are always able to invite others, otherwise referral periods can last up to two weeks or a month - note that WINEFAIR2020 ends this Sunday

For anyone that might be wondering, it appears that this:
Is the Redbrook Reserve Chardonnay 2015.

thanks for the reminder :)

St Halletts 2020 release is up on Cellar One. 2018 Blackwell available for $25.5, obviously not as good as the recent deals, but decent for a new release nonetheless.

Newbies to CellarOne can get $20 off - refferal thread here.

I've got $60 of cellar dollars, would the Blackwell be good use of it?

The '18 Blackwell review puts me off buying any - when I open a Blackwell I do so as I feel like drinking an old fashioned Barossa style red, if I wanted to drink a different style I would open something else...

I am unlikely to get to taste it prior to purchasing, so I think I need to wait until there are some other reviews to see if they also report the change in style

I'm certainly no expert, but the vintages I've drunk in the past have been enjoyable. Obvoiusly the price isn't as good as we saw a few weeks ago from Coles/Liquorland ($15/btl), but wouldn't expect a new vintage to be discounted that excessively. In hindsight, the new vintage probably explains why they were discounting them... or it was sheer incompetence. Who knows.

thanks - after $20 referral:
Not a bad price at all for the Old Block. Would be good if they had a spend and save to get it into the high 60's. 2016 should be a safe bet you would think.

Definitely incompetence. If it had been a genuine sale they would have displayed the original price and the new marked down price. Both fields were set to $15. Then they removed it from the website but bottles in-store were still scanning at $15 a week later. They had also flagged it internally as a price error which I was told on two different calls to the call centre following up on my orders.

Sounds like it was definitely incompetence then
