BWS issues seem to have been resolved. Last night it wouldn’t apply 10% off for 6. Couldn’t even use site at all at 6am this morning but worked fine at 9am.

10% off for 6, DYLAN code still working gave me another 5 Vat 47 Chardonnay at approx $28.

Do many people in here buy international wines? I'm really interested in buying some French wine! I've bought a bit of Italian, American but I really wanna get a taste and understanding of what wine I enjoy.

I assume many of you have really tried different varieties? Just seems difficult to find good international wine, priced well. I literally know nothing about French wine. Any websites, have decent deals?

Best advice I can give on this topic is to go along to various tastings if you can. That's the best way to learn. There are no shortage in Perth, so I'd imagine it's similar in other major cities.

As for well priced, that doesn't really exist if you're comparing the price you'll pay here to the price paid in France for the same wine. Shipping, WET, GST and generally paying more here don't help matters.

Another word of advice. Don't fall in love with Burgundy. That doesn't bode well with having money in your bank account

These look solid, but I've spent $500 alone this week.

Definitely good to cellar, most the bottles are $250, $150, $250, $75, $45 etc

How's Bin 8, compare to Bin 28? Bin 28 seems to be highly rated.

These are radically different wines (different blends). Broadly, BIN 28 will cellar and develop stronger characteristics whilst BIN 8 is a drink soon wine.

I agree with this. As far as I can tell you are in SA. I would recommend checking out some of the Ed Cellars in Mitcham tastings. The staff in their bottleshop are super friendly and helpful and will definitely guide you in making some purchases to start dabble in other wine regions.

Agree with the advice given above. One other key point is that when trying any new euro wines, be prepared to pay a bit more than you usually would to get a proper feel for them. I had a friend recently try to get into burgundy wines but was having bad experiences with the base level bourgogne rouge (Joseph Faiveley) and has basically written off french wines completely as a result. I said to him that would be like writing off European cars after only test driving an entry level VW polo or smartcar.

If indeed you're in Adelaide, check out East End Cellars and get on their mailing list. They frequently have tasting events.

As for buying online, a lot of websites already mentioned on this forum stock European wines. I'm a big fan of Eurecentric though.
