Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I would be very very very suprised and call BS on that one.

DYOR

The Signature meets the Barossa and up to JH96 points over time criteria

FDR1A is fruit sourced from Eden Valley

The Barossa Shiraz Cabernet quaffer isnt listed on winecompanion from what I can tell.

Ive been told the bottle looks like that of The Signature as well.

I thought you just recently bought some descent Grenache - Clarendon Hills from Langtons.

Enjoy a proper wine and don't worry too much about random underwraps just because there is a 15% cashback on a hidden label. Unless you really know them.

And JH above 90 means an absolute dick. All or 99% of his ratings are above 90.
I bought 2 cases, arrived at Dan's for pick up today!
I had this unofficially confirmed that it's the 2016 Signature.
Isn't that much more than 50% off? Sounds too good to be true.

mine didn’t
What wines were you trying to buy? There are some albeit very few exceptions.

*Rewards 10% offer is available from 25.01.21 12:00am to 31.12.21 11:59pm (AEST). Six bottles of wine need to be added to cart & customers Everyday Rewards card needs to be linked to account for discount to apply. Offer does not work with multi-buys. Discount applied in cart."

Say I added 5 Mollydookers and 1 10x y tractor PN in my cart - see 10% off applies as I added them

Then I typed the code DYLAN and hit "Apply"

Notice above the coupon says $0.00

However when I hit Confirm watch what happens

Order discount appears bringing the total down by 15% in addition to 10% when I added 6 bottles into the cart

Sorry for a long post - hope it helps folks to get a full discount.

If it’s Signature or FDR1a then it’sa good deal, but neither rate that well on Vivino for the 2016 Vintage. Can anyone recommend it?
I havent't had FDR1a but can certainly recommend Signature - superb wine. I don't think I had 2016 but I thought Yalumba tries to make very consistent wines.

Tractor still in stock? Where?
Sorry - it is in Victoria. I could not find any in NSW

How will we ever know if it’s a clean skin with no identification ???
I suppose by its distinctive bottle/shape and most importantly taste?

I still can't get my head around that they went and manually removed all the labels and redone the foil enclosure. Unless they were made without label for export to be labeled later in accordance with the country laws they were exporting to/

You will never know for sure but as mentioned the bottle shape, capsule, and cork length/quality should be good indicators.

It seems much more likely that this is stock that was waiting to be labelled, but then they decided not to label it.

Forgot to mention that you can always buy a labeled one and compare :) but be warned it may not taste that good today if it is built for the long haul.

Agree. Young Signature is an alcohol bomb. Needs plenty of time to settle or at least a long decant. Based on previous vintages I didn’t find it too impressive, heaps of better value out there at $65 but for $18 (if indeed the same wine) it’s a different story ;)

Signature seems too good to be true and if it's an export prob not listed on the Yalumba website. I also note there are a bunch of wines on the website with similar bottle shape.

It might be too good to be true but it all matches up. This isnt your typical 'Secret Wine' or 'Unearthed', its doesnt even have a label so the price could well be justified. Worth a punt imo

Fair call, guess there is always the "100% money back guarantee" fall back
