Saving on postage too. Well done. Stunning price, hopefully the rest falls into place. My interest in this one is more of the complexity on offer in this cordial of a drink really. But like the better products, good is good no matter the price. I look forward to your comments.I've actually managed to grab my six via pick-up from our store in Newtown (Tas natch) quite surprisingly, so I might pip you at the post. At nearly a 1/4 of its RRP it has got to be more than acceptable methinks. Fascinating insight into the Tallarook Shiraz re Cat Empire et al, saw the band in its heyday at MONA years ago and they were on fire, Harry James Angus was swigging from a bottle of David Walsh's Pinot and was v. entertaining, a talented guy.
I just saw pages & pages of good reviews. I might grab a pack at some stage, and see what I receive. The pack contents vary over time, the past reviews may not be applicable to the current mix.
I've bought a couple in the past when they had more info on the contents, including Hewitson Private Cellar Shiraz Mataro, usual mix of 3-4 good wines and 2-3 to give away to others.

I doubt itI’m thinking John Duval Eligo
Good point. Does seem to be unusually good price for what we normally see is an overstated descriptionNah surely not - Eligo is French oak - TWC's is American
Yeah having trouble pinning it down - closest I'm guessing is 2017 Plowman Dry Grown but even then it doesn't quite match.Good point. Does seem to be unusually good price for what we normally see is an overstated description
Head Wines and St Hallet both have something in the price range but don’t register with “Global Powerhouse” ?Yeah having trouble pinning it down - closest I'm guessing is 2017 Plowman Dry Grown but even then it doesn't quite match.
Hmmmm. “Head Wines and St Hallet both have something in the price range but don’t register with “Global Powerhouse” ?
What the hell does Tonka taste like anyway?Hmmmm. “
HOW'S IT TASTE?
Bold, rambunctious and filled to the brim with flavour, concentration and intensity. There's Christmas pudding, plum, boysenberry. Brulee, vanilla slice, cherry liqueur and raspberry pastille. Hints of Tonka, coconut and tobacco, while charcuterie and pepper leave their mark. The palate is full-bodied but contained. A real statement wine, built with the Penfolds mantra in mind.”
