Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Bear in mind that Langtons have increased shipping to a flat $18.50 irrespective of order size
"From 25th September 2023 we will now charge $18.50 (metro areas) or $23 (regional) for delivery on all Langton's orders, no matter how large. "

I am so pathetic - took a plump on mixgg. I'll exhibit the rubbish I receive in due course. I'll cry if it's a bunch of WB grey for $200/6...
Ok team, gather round me and tell me if I should cry at this for $33.33/btl. Am genuinely interested in views...

(I sure feel like a solid wail but I may just have forgotten the small number of intervening years since the time 389 cost $14 and felt a bit exy...)

And for some reason my postcode is charge the regional rate despite being metro 😒

Not too bad. Got one too somewhere with Aussie Post
Hmmm, looks nice. I think I would have been happy with that for the price.

Thankfully the $300s were all gone when I got in so weren't an option so I've just got to work out if all this penfolds I'd be unlikely to otherwise buy is an ok deal!

Doubles of the front! Seems about $350 rrp for $200. Similar % reduction from rrp to the $300 wildcard box, but I was hoping for something more exciting. I suppose them's the breaks.

Looks like critics like the kalimna best, even tho it's the least pricey.

I was a fan of the 28 until 10 yrs ago but not so much anymore.
Overall an ok deal at today's prices

I think it's overpriced. Not a fan of the 128 or GSM. The 28 is ok
You would struggle to get your money back less fees on Langtons auction

looks a lot like, Altus Shiraz 2020

Which is very very very cheap!

Can't imagine is Shaw & Smith quality but it's about as cheap as Adelaide Hills Shiraz gets.

The great wine glut continues!

Pls excuse the possible cracked record of my current rant...

Now even Huon Hooke is into it... 99pts for the '21 St Peters! I look forward to the day all wine good or bad, big or small are 100pts

Maybe he's going to surprise us one day and declare his scale was never out of 100?

HH has rated just over 30 Australian wines at 99 pts, over a period of at least 8 years, and another 40 or so non-Australian wines over maybe a longer period. There are only 3 from the excellent 2021 vintage.
If you subscribe to his site you would see which wines he rated 99pts and perhaps not be so dismissive.
